A Short Story of Consigning Falun Dafa Books

In the past few years, practitioners in Toronto have persisted in practicing in parks all year round. However, due to various reasons, there were very few bookstores that carried Falun Dafa books in Toronto. At the beginning of this year, some practitioners started to contact bookstores for consignment opportunities. Just in a few weeks time, the result has been encouraging: there are more than ten bookstores carrying Falun Dafa books and among them, two of them are outstanding.

Eternal Moment is a small bookstore located on one of the main streets in Toronto downtown core. Falun Dafa books were consigned there in January and the store owner phoned back in February saying that all copies of China Falun Gong had been sold out and they would like to have more supplies. The bookstore also puts Falun Gong brochures at the front of the store to promote the books, as the buyers all want to know about the background of Falun Dafa and other information. Not long ago, the bookstore requested exercise instruction videotapes to fulfill the demands of the customers. Now the book China Falun Gong really stands out in the bookstore by being put at the center of the bookshelf facing the main street.

New Age Books is a bookstore located in a city at the boundary of Toronto. All consigned Falun Dafa books (Zhuan Falun and China Falun Gong) were sold out in a short time. There is a seminar room in the bookstore and the owner has arranged to hold free Falun Dafa seminars to promote the books. The bookstore put up a big poster "Free Teaching of China Falun Gong" to promote the seminars. A few people attended the first seminar. There was an individual who drove half an hour from another city to attend the seminar. He even passed us information of bookstores in his area, hoping Falun Dafa books can be available in his city. When we sent the books to those bookstores, the books were accepted easily as this individual had notified the bookstores. This individual also hopes we can hold exercise teaching seminar in his city too.

In the past few years, we have been making every effort to spread Falun Dafa to the public However, the result has not been satisfactory. Today, by sending and consigning books to local bookstores, the situation is looking up and encouraging. It is our sincere hope to have Dafa books available in bookstores. This will also be part of our continuous effort in spreading Dafa.
