[Sichuan Province] The Hunger Strike in the Jiuru Village Detention Center
The 20 and over practitioners who got detained for reporting the truth of Falun Gong to the central government are on hunger strike in the Jiuru Village Detention Center of Chengdu City. They have been on hunger strike up to 8 days.á
Practitioner Wang Xuzhi, who got detained in the Dayan Labor Camp of Zhiyang County for reporting the truth of Falun Gong to the government, have been on hunger strike for over 4 months, in order to have a legal environment for learning and practicing Falun Gong. The detention center would force-feed him once a few days.

A dozen of female practitioners including
Ms. Xie Jing, while being detained in the first cell of Lianhua Village
detention center continued to learn and practice Falun Gong in the detention
center. After the guard found that out, the police handcuffed both hands
behind their thighs for long term. They were even put on shackles of several
tens of pounds. They must be helped while having a meal or going to the
restroom. Meanwhile, the police even paraded them through all the male
cells, female cells and the courtyard. The police and the criminals all
sighed that the Falun Gong practitioners are strong; otherwise a non-practitioner
would have already collapsed if they were treated like that.áá

Practitioners Zhang Guorong, Tao
Yuan and Liu Zhenhai etc who were living in the Central Park of Chengdu
City, were being detained the "transformation class" held by the Jitou
Town Police Station. Male and female practitioners were forced to stay
together at a room of an abandoned power supply station for 24 hours, with
locked up restrooms. They could not go home and were not allowed to walk
around at will.áá
The 30 and over practitioners in the Yulin District of Chengdu City were forced to attend the "transformation class" held in the Yulin Police Station. The class was held at the basement of the Police Station, which was flooded with. Everyday, the police abused them verbally and lied to them; moreover, the police forced them to watch the videotapes of pornography and violence. The practitioners are under harsh environments.
In addition, no receipt of the fines imposed to the practitioners from Yulin district was issued. When the practitioners went to the street division to question the policy, they got such a reply, "We do not need to provide you with any receipt for the fines."
