According to a document read on a meeting of the Chenghua Sub-police Bureau of Chengdu City on the morning of July 14, the Chinese police decided to closely monitor and control Falun Gong practitioners. Those practitioners in custody will be detained indefinitely in order to prevent them from going to Beijing to appeal.
In addition, according to sources, the Beijing armed police and the department of railroad will collaborate to intercept practitioners. They might search for Falun Gong practitioners on July 20 in all the train stations in order to block them from going to Beijing.

Since June 29, the Liujiang Village government and other village governments in Wenjiang County started a new round of persecutions against Falun Gong practitioners. Practitioners have been forced to stay under the burning sun everyday. The communist officials also beat them using the whip made of copper wires. The practitioners were forced to swear at Falun Dafa and the Teacher while they were being beaten.
Practitioners Zhong Shufang and Zhang Liuqing went on hunger strike in the detention center in order to defend their rights and Falun Dafa.
In fact, the persecutions against Falun Gong practitioners have never been stopped since the Chinese New Year (February). Many practitioners had their homes ransacked. The detention center even used a torture named "Huo Ma". It is a very scary torturing device, which could make skin swollen and ache.
[Changsha City, Hunan Province]
Recently, hundreds of practitioners from Changsha City have been arrested. The police would go to the practitioners' homes and ask them whether they still continued to practice Falun Gong. They would be taken away if they gave an affirmative answer. A mother who just gave birth two months ago was also taken away. The baby and the mother was detained for a whole night.
It was said that the police have done that in order to prevent practitioners from holding any activity on July 20.

On July 13, the police from Guangzhou City arrested some practitioners in the name of holding a "thoughts transformation class" for them. The length of the class was unknown. The detained practitioners lost contact with the outside. Many more practitioners would likely be arrested in few days as July 20 approaches.
