After returning home from work in the evenings, I often receive various solicitation calls to sell various merchandise and investment products. I used to refuse them nicely and quickly. A couple of days ago, I again received a similar call. The caller was a new immigrant to Canada from Mainland China. I explained to her why a Falun Gong practitioner would not invest in the securities market. She then told me that she believed in Christianity and every time she went to church her heart felt peaceful and pure. Also deceived by the Chinese government's false propaganda, she had some misunderstandings about Falun Gong. I briefly explained to her the facts. She eventually changed her previous opinion and intended to get more detail information from Dafa web sites.
This has inspired me. Wouldnt it be better to motivate these eloquent people to help spread the truth about Falun Gong? In fact, in his article "A Brief Statement of Mine", Teacher has explicitly pointed it out to us: "We are calling for all governments, international organizations, and people of goodwill worldwide to extend their support and assistance to us." Under this situation of limited personal and material resources, we are facing the question of how to make the truth known to more people. In my opinion, many kind-hearted people can be of great help to us. They can also share the truth of Falun Gong with their families, friends, colleagues, clients, customers and people around them.
My neighbor is one of these people. He cannot speak English and has been busy making money to maintain his legal immigrant status. He doesn't practice cultivation, but thinks highly of Falun Gong. I therefore asked him to take periodical newspapers containing information on the truth of Falun Gong to his workplace and give them out to the Chinese people there. As a result, everyone in his factory thinks the government is wrongfully suppressing Falun Gong. It appears that kind-hearted people can also perfect Dafa at a certain level. Presently, we practitioners have been personally giving out these newspapers (printed by practitioners) and informative material. In addition, this material is becoming easier and easier to understand. I truly hope that we can find more ways of spreading Dafa since there are kind-hearted people in all walks of life and in every level of society. Although they might not attain the Fa and join our cultivation at this time, Dafa would perfect their kind nature, because Dafa is perfecting all sentient beings.
There are various ways of verifying Dafa to everyday people. Every word and action of our practitioners can influence the people around us. Dafa practitioners can, according to their individual situations, choose the ways they are best to make the truth known. Actually, different areas all have informative material that depicts Dafa. I hope that we can find a way to communicate with each other. Since Dafa practitioners have so many fascinating and magical personal experiences, since they have done so many praiseworthy and touching deeds, why not collect them, collate them and further utilize them? I believe that it will attract more and more kind-hearted listeners, onlookers, readers, and Internet fans. Through word of mouth and heart-to-heart communication, we can then fulfill our wish to help our Teacher in the world.
