The religious Society of Friends (also known as the Quakers) is a branch of Christianity. Instead of a formal service, they have a "meeting" every Sunday. They do not have a priest, but simply have a clerk who deals with more worldly issues and will raise them at the end of each meeting. There are over 400 such meetings in the UK, with 10 -- 100 in attendance at each.

I used to have a lot of contact with Quakers in past years, and my wife is a member of the Society of Friends, and quite well known among them. I wished to inform them about the persecution, as I felt there were many kind-hearted people among them. I suggested to my wife that we write a letter together, as husband and wife, as Dafa practitioner and member of the Society of Friends, to inform them of the persecution and to enclose the Peaceful Journey booklet. She was very happy to do this. We sent the letter to the clerks of all of the meetings. In the letter, we also asked that the letter should be read out to all the attendees of the meeting, so that they could all come to know about the evil persecution.

We had many people contact us afterwards, to extend their support, to ask what they could do to support practitioners in China, and to ask for more information. Some wished to write letters to the Chinese embassy, some simply said that they held the practitioners in their hearts, thoughts and prayers, and asked us to extend their heart-felt message of sympathy and support to practitioners in China. My wife is intending to write a letter to the official magazine of the Society of Friends to reveal more about the persecution and to say thank-you for all of the support.

Through this I learned more about how to use our individual environment wisely to expose the evil persecution, and clarify the truth.
