Around 10:30 p.m. on July 4, 2001, the voice of Falun Dafa resounded across the sky of Jiamushi Labor Camp. Dafa practitioners in the labor camp heard Teacher's new Articles, and Minghui Editor's article, "Send Forth Righteous Thoughts at Set Times," etc. All of the Dafa practitioners who had set up the speakers returned home safely.
2. [Jiamushi City, Heilongjiang Province] Four Dafa Practitioners Lives in Danger While on 17-Day Hunger Strike
Dafa practitioners of Jiamusi City, Li Wei, Li Xiaoxing, Sun Xiuhua, Xu Deshu, Zhao Wenjie, and his daughter and son-in-law, were arrested by Police in Huachuan County while they were preparing Dafa literature. Three of them were released after experiencing much abuse. Four were sentenced to two or three years in labor camp. These four practitioners have been on a hunger strike for seventeen days and are very weak now. The police station is afraid of taking the responsibility [in case of their deaths] and wants to release them. However, the Politics and Law Committee of Jiamushi City disregards practitioner's health condition and refuses to approve the release. Now, these four practitioners' lives are at stake. 3. [Harbin City, Heilongjiang Province] Police Plan a Large Scale Arrest of Dafa Practitioners Who Publish Solemn Statements
Harbin police put Dafa practitioners who published Solemn Statement at Minghui Net on a black list, and planned to launch a large-scale arrest of practitioners after July 15 [Note: There were no arrests before July 15 due to the IOC vote for Olympics.]
4. [Sulan City, Jilin Province] The Power of Righteous Thoughts
Dafa practitioners from Sulan City, Jilin Province held an Experience Sharing Conference on July 8, 2001 and about 200 practitioners attended. Responding to an unknown tip, the police raided the conference site. Two policemen took out guns to threaten Dafa practitioners. Dafa practitioners kept a cool mind at that time and sent forth righteous thoughts as a group to eradicate the evil. Rushing out of the room, most of the practitioners escaped smoothly. Only around fifty practitioners were arrested. That night, police went to Dafa practitioners' homes to arrest more practitioners. We need to find out more details before reporting further.
5. [Linyi, Shandong Province] Righteous Thoughts Help Dafa Practitioner Walk Out of the Police Station
On July 2, 2001 Director Hu of Politics & Security Department at Hedong District Police Station, Head Yu from Criminal Police Troop, and Policemen Dong Li and Xing XX from Lanshan District arrested a Dafa practitioner and took him to Hedong District Police Station. This practitioner then sent forth righteous thoughts to eradicate the evil and made the guards fall asleep. Then this practitioner climbed over the wall and stepped out of the police station. The whole process lasted less than six hours.
6. [Hefei, Anhui Province] Agriculture Research Institute Persecutes Dafa Practitioners
On May 1, 2001, Xu Yuying, a female Assistant Researcher in her forties, and Sheng Lichun, a female kindergarten teacher also in her forties, were arrested in the suburb of Hefei City while clarifying the truth about Falun Gong. They were sent to labor camp on June 6. After their arrest, the Agriculture Research Institute sent all the Dafa practitioners in the institute to attend a brainwashing class held in the former Kaiyuan Wheel Factory.
In the afternoon of June 20, Xu Yueying's husband Shen Qinren (a practitioner) was coaxed out of his home by people from the institute and was forcibly sent to a brainwashing class, leaving his 90-year old mother and 14-year old daughter at home alone.

7. [Bozhou City, Anhui Province] The 610 Office at Qiaocheng District Brutally Persecutes Dafa Practitioners
Per instructions from the 610 Office, all the resident committees and agencies in Qiaocheng District, Bozhou City took united action on the morning of March 2, to arrest twenty nine Dafa practitioners. One of the practitioners is a 15-year old middle-school student. The officials sent them to the Qijiao Detention Center. Some of the practitioners were sentenced to a labor camp, and some were sent to attend a brainwashing class. Others are still being detained by police.
Since March 9, five brainwashing classes have been held in Agriculture School, Tiaoshan Top Hotel at Qiaodong District. They deprive practitioners of their freedoms. They don't even allow practitioners to talk to each other. They even keep an eye on practitioners when they have meals, sleep, and when they go to the bathroom. As a result, practitioners suffer tremendously from the persecution.
Eighteen Dafa practitioners were recently sentenced to labor camp. They are, Jiang Jianmei (female), Yuan Chenying (female), Zhi Xiaorong (female), Bai Xiulan* (female), Huang Meiying (female), Yu Chenying (female), Guo Jinglan (female), Zhou Li (female), Chen Guangying, Wang Jianjun, Shi Xingwang, Mu Haichao, Zhou Zhaoyang, Li Kui, Ren Xingde, Xing Mingchen, Wang Taian, and Liu Haokun. They were sentenced to at least one year in labor camp. The longest sentence was three years. *Bai Xiulan was illegally sentenced to one year in labor camp without any trial.

8. [Hefei, Anhui Province] Dafa Practitioners Are Tricked and Arrested When Distributing Dafa Literature.
In late June, police arrested Dafa practitioners Xu Jieying (female), and Wang Lixia (female) while they were distributing Dafa leaflets in the Hefei Train Station. Xue Jieying upheld righteous thoughts and refused to tell the police her name. The sly police pretended to release her. They followed her, intending to arrest more practitioners or obtain some evidence for further persecution. Xu didn't return to her home but went to her daughter's home instead. As soon as she stepped into her daughter's home the police, who had been following her, rushed in and re-arrested her. The police thought that they would find some evidence and ransacked her daughter's home, turning it upside down. But, they didn't get what they wanted. Xu and Wang Lixia are still being held in the Hefei City Detention Center.
9. [Huzhu County, Qinhai Province] Criminal Evidence of the Lawless Police Who are Persecuting Dafa Practitioners
Huzhu County Police Station, Qinhai Province illegally arrested four Dafa practitioners and detained them for three months. Just before their release, Police Station Chief Ma Tianyu pressured the court to put these four practitioners on trial on July 17. On July 4, the police from this station arrested Dafa practitioner Ying Yuanwen and ransacked his home. They brutally beat him during the interrogation, seriously disfiguring his face. Now, the police in this station hold blank arrest warrants. As long as they suspect a practitioner has anything to do with the truth-telling materials, they will ransack that practitioner's home.

On July 4, 2001, Guangzhou Dafa practitioner Zhang Chunmei published an article "Exposing the Evilness of the Brainwashing Class in Huangpu District, Guangzhou City" on Clearwisdom.Net. 11. [Xinji City, Hebei Province] Police Sentenced Five Dafa Practitioners to Labor Camp
Recently, police in Xinji City, Hebei Province illegally sentenced the following five Dafa practitioners to labor camp:
Li Ren, female: Sentenced to one year in labor camp for appealing in Beijing.
Li Zhongxin, female: Sentenced to two years in labor camp for distributing truth-telling literature.
Sun Yuchi, 47-year old female: Sentenced to two years in labor camp for declaring a solemn statement on the Internet.
Chen Aizheng, 59-year old female: Sentenced to two years in labor camp for declaring a solemn statement on the Internet.
Wei Ren, female: Sentenced to one year in labor camp for carrying Teacher's Articles when she visited her daughter in labor camp.
12. [Wei County, Hebei Province] Dafa Practitioner Illegally Arrested by Public Security
Dafa practitioners at Wei County of Hebei Province have been behaving closely according to the Fa-rectification process. After this year's April 25 anniversary, at the risk of being arrested, they displayed banners with words such as "Return the Pure Name to Falun Dafa," "Sow the Wind and Reap the Whirlwind," etc. in the city, at the town, and in the countryside. They also sent up balloons to spread flyers as well as set up high-volume speakers to broadcast the truth of Falun Gong. In this way, the practitioners there have suffocated evil effectively.
As their vicious deeds were exposed on the Clearwisdom.Net Web site in June, the Wei County XX (party name omitted) Commissioner and Public Security Office as well as the local "610 Office" were dismayed and tried to prevent news leakage. These bad guys traced Internet usage records and suspected that Ms. Gong Hua, a Falun Gong practitioner about 30 years old, was involved with reporting the news. At around 6 p.m. on 7/02/01 officers from the county Public Security office broke into her house without a search warrant and forcefully took her away.
Warning to Bad People: Falun Dafa is the Great Law of the Cosmos. Anyone who persecutes a Dafa practitioner is committing a crime against the Heavenly Law. Stop persecuting Falun Dafa and its practitioners. Release all detained practitioners! Otherwise, you could receive immediate retribution from Heaven!
13. [Changchun City, Jilin Province] Vicious Deeds Committed by a Brainwashing Class
Five Changchun City departments sponsored a brainwashing class in order to persecute Falun Gong practitioners. Behind the scenes, the City Politics and Law Commissioner, Wang Jindong, directed Officer Zhang (Police ID No. 101316), Chaoyanggou Labor Camp instructor Zhao Qingxue, and Jingyuetan Jail instructors Chen Ke and Li Jie to brutally beat up Dafa practitioners.
Officer Zhang viciously hit and kicked practitioners and beat them with batons and leather belts. Many practitioners' faces have become disfigured due to his beatings.
Zhao Qingxue is cold-blooded and wicked. At the labor camp, he mentally tormented Falun Gong practitioners and physically tortured them. When practitioners went on a hunger strike, he said that it served them right if they died from hunger. Then he forced the practitioners to perform heavy labor.
Mr. Li Jie is in charge of brainwashing the detained Dafa practitioners.
Patrol policemen at Branch six of the city's police department are assigned with the duty of monitoring the actions of the detained practitioners. Most of these policemen have been deceived about the truth of Falun Gong. This brainwashing class has already sent two female practitioners, Sun Guizhi and Huang XX, to Heizuizi Labor Camp to be severely tortured. Male practitioners Xiao Jinyu, Jia, Wang Hongxiang, and Bai Mingxue have been transferred to Chaoyanggou Labor Camp and Fan Guangsheng was sent to Inmahe Labor Camp.
14. [Wuhan City, Hubei Province] Falun Gong Female and Male Practitioners Are Jailed Together; Falun Gong Is Slandered in Junior High Political Science Test
The lawless officials at Wuhan City (Hubei Province), under the orders of the prime violator of human rights, Jiang Zemin, arbitrarily arrested and detained Falun Dafa practitioners. They also illegally sentenced practitioners to labor camps. The following are merely two examples of the many criminal deeds officials have committed:

After practitioners were arrested while appealing in Beijing, they were detained and transferred to the Wuhan City Police Department in Beijing. More than twenty practitioners were crowded into the two jail cells where officials intentionally mixed males with females. There was no washroom or partition offering privacy. Often, for more than ten hours at a time, no one could go to the toilet.
- Falun Gong Is Slandered in the Junior High Political Science Joint Exam
The Wuhan City Education Department slandered Falun Gong in the junior high political science joint exam. The entire exam was worth 50 marks. Of those, questions worth 24 marks attacked Falun Dafa. Most parents resented the Department's wicked action of brainwashing the young minds of junior high students.

15. [Changzhou, Jiangsu Province] College Principal Receives Retribution for Persecuting Falun Gong Practitioners
The principal of Changzhou Teaching College, Li Minmin, said to a student, Zhang Wuying, who is also a determined practitioner, "If you continue to practice Falun Gong, I will expel you!" On June 14, the principal herself was suddenly fired.
16. [China] Eternal Truth: Good or Evil Rewarded Accordingly
At the foot of Lu Mountain and by the Ling River, there is a chief of police who mistreats Falun Gong practitioners. He illegally detains practitioners for long periods of time. He denies their right to sleep, blackmails them for money, and slanders Falun Dafa. Recently he was involved in a car accident in which he broke his ribs. He is now hospitalized. There is also another village XX (party name omitted) Branch Secretary who has opposed Falun Gong for a long time. He would put local practitioners under surveillance, forced them to hand over Dafa books, and slander Falun Dafa. In April he and his son were put behind bars for being involved in a fight.
17. [Shulan, Jilin Province] He Who Persecutes Falun Dafa Will Receive Retribution
The 45-year-old Mr. Liu Boyan, principal of Shulan City Shinian High School (formerly known as the 15th Middle School) in Jilin Province, suddenly passed away in the early morning of May 31. During his term as school principal, Liu hated Falun Gong and persecuted Dafa practitioners as much as he could. For example, he expelled a 10th grade student, Li Xiu, after she was found practicing Falun Gong at home during school vacation.
This principal verbally attacked a young teacher, Ms. Ying Limei, because she was determined to practice Falun Gong. He ordered someone to monitor her actions and even had her followed to the lady's room. In September 1999, Liu forced her into labor camp. At the Heizuizi Labor Camp, Ms. Ying suffered severe physical and mental tortures.
Here we would like to give advice to all people: For the good of yourself and your family, observe the Heavenly Laws and, do not mistreat Falun Gong. At the same time, we warn all evil people to learn a lesson from Liu's sudden death. Cease your harmful actions, or else you will meet immediate retribution.

The guards at the Jiamusi Labor Camp (Zhu Tiehong, Liu Yadong, and Mu Lijuan) obtained the trust of some practitioners in order to collect practitioners' information. They inhumanly tortured practitioners by yelling and beating. Here is a warning to wicked people: Stop persecuting Falun Gong! Otherwise, retribution in this lifetime will come soon!
