(Clearwisdom.net) Editors' Note: In both Western and Chinese culture, the principle of karmic retribution, that is, being held ultimately accountable for one's own actions, is widely accepted. The fundamental teaching of Falun Gong is the characteristic of the universe, "Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance." The universe will reward actions that are in harmony with this principle, while actions such as beating, torturing and murdering people will incur karmic retribution. Stated another way, good deeds will be rewarded with good, while evildoings will meet due retribution. Articles such as this one are meant as a compassionateáreminder of this principle to those who would commit wrongdoing. While many of those who persecute Falun Gong are merely "following orders," the universal law requires that they, too, be held responsible for their actions, and that only by reversing their course of wrongdoing may they escape retribution.
In Shandong Province's Weifang City, the deputy party secretary Wang Lifu has ruthlessly persecuted Dafa disciples since July 1999. He was the first in the nation to sentence a Dafa disciple. He sent former Weifang City Dafa assistant Li Tianming to four years of imprisonment. Wang Lifu died of lung cancer in 2002.
Xiangchen City Detention Center guards who commit wrongdoing have received the following warnings of karmic retribution:
◊ In March 2002, Deng Tonghe beat and slandered Dafa disciples. Three days later, he broke a rib and was hospitalized for a month.
◊ In May 2002, division chief Jiang Yourong received karmic retribution right after he confiscated Dafa materials. A serious medical condition kept him from reporting to work.
◊ In July 2002, guard Jin Xouqing had fever during the night for over a month after having beaten and slandered Dafa disciples frequently
The vicious female guard Yan Hongli of Tangshan City Forced Labor Camp had a traffic accident in March 2001, causing several deep cuts in her face. Another cruel guard named Jia was hospitalized for a heart problem.
In Henan Province's Nanzhao County, Ji Yacun, Yao Liya and others from the Police Department security division arrested and put more than 20 Dafa disciples into prison. They also stole 200,000 Yuan worth of equipment, materials and money from the practitioners. This lawless gang is now under investigation for alleged vehicle smuggling.
A female resident of Jilin Province Nongan County Nongan Township, Ding Yulan, street cleaner for Baota Street, slandered Dafa continually, and got up early in the morning to tear down Dafa materials. She also told others that catching a Dafa disciple posting or delivering Dafa materials would earn a reward of between 500 ~ 2,000 Yuan. In mid-August 2002, she was hit by a car. She suffered injuries to her arms and a cut on her ear.
