On April 18, 2003, Dafa practitioner Li Mei (pseudonym) was released from a detention center in China due to phone calls from overseas Dafa practitioners. From this, we can see the great impact that truth clarification from overseas Dafa practitioners has on rescuing practitioners in China, as well as the significant shock it brings to those evil police officers who persecute Dafa practitioners. The prison guards told Li Mei's mother when Li Mei was being released: "Some phone calls were from the U.S. and some were from Canada." They felt frightened because they knew the world could see them doing bad things.

Background information for this case:

Li Mei was arrested once for about two months, lost her job, and become homeless twice due to the persecution from Jiang's political gang. She could not endure the arrest and long-term mental pressure, and fell into a depression where she couldn't properly take care of herself. But Jiang's gang still did not let her go. On March 18, 2003, Li Mei was reading the Chinese Clearwisdom website in an Internet café in Shandong province and was reported to the police by the Internet café owner. She was subsequently detained.

In the detention center, Li Mei was very weak, but the guards did not allow anyone to visit her. After five or six days, the guards notified her family to come pay a fine of 5,000 Yuan for her arrest [the average monthly income of a worker in China is 500 Yuan] and take her home. Because the situation was urgent, I decided to send this news to Clearwisdom Net. At the same time however, I was worried that the situation might become worse for Li Mei and her family if phone calls were made to the detention center. Then I remembered what Master Li said in the 2002 Philadelphia Fa lecture: "You are cultivators, and all changes come from your cultivation and the Fa-rectification; everything that you yourselves validate and enlighten to, and everything that you'll receive, all this comes from what you have done on your path. Absolutely don't think about any favors the old forces might do for us, or about how the ordinary society might help us. You are the ones saving the ordinary people's society, and you are the ones saving sentient beings!" The evil police wanted to lay their murderous hands on Li Mei and then shirk their responsibility. Therefore, another practitioner and I sent an article about Li Mei's case to Clearwisdom.net with phone numbers of the detention center. She was unconditionally released a few days later.
