Facts of the Persecution
1. Party Secretary and 610 Office Personnel of Baoji City, Shaanxi Province Arrest Eight Falun Dafa Practitioners
On October 23, 2004, the Party Secretary, Gao Dongkui (male) of Gaojia Town, Weibin District, Baoji City, Shaanxi Province, together with officials from the 610 Office, Guo Xiaolong (male), policemen Zhi Genke and Ma Yaojie from the Gaojia Town Substation abducted eight Falun Dafa practitioners and ransacked their homes. Among these eight, two of them are an elderly couple (Duan Zhaoxiong and his wife are both over 70 years old) who live in the same village as Gao Dongkui. At the same time, they arrested practitioners Mr. Duan Shibao, and Mr. Duan Baojun and his son, who had become destitute and homeless in order to avoid being illegally arrested at home. Gao Dongkui and his gang established an illegal interrogation location in the Baoji City Nitrogenous Fertilizer Factory Hotel. They tortured these eight Falun Dafa practitioners by depriving them of food and sleep, group brainwashing and complete deprivation of personal freedom.

2. Baoji City Nursing School Teacher, Wang Guaiyan, Is Still Being Tortured in the Shaanxi Provincial Women's Labor Camp
Ms. Wang Guaiyan is forty-one years old, and considered an excellent teacher in the Baoji City Nursing School in Shaanxi Province. She was sentenced to three years in a labor camp in 2001, because she went to Beijing to appeal on behalf of Falun Dafa. She is still held in the Shaanxi Provincial Women's Labor Camp, and is being inhumanly tortured. She often has wounds on her face from being beaten by the police. Her head is often swollen with bumps from the beatings. There are often bloodstains on her clothes where the torturers stuck three-inch-long needles in her. In September 2004, because she refused to participate in the daily slave labor, Ms. Wang was beaten by a drug addict prisoner who grabbed her hair, kicked her, pinched her belly, and hit her knee with a chair. Ms. Wang had purple bruises all over her body as a result of the beating. However, Ms. Wang still exhibited the compassion of a Falun Dafa disciple, always patiently clarifying the truth to those around her. In the summer of 2004, because she refused to wear the official prison uniform, Ms. Wang was tied to a bed frame and not allowed to sleep for an entire month. The prisoners would curse and beat her with their shoes, and would not allow her to use the toilet.

3. The Persecution of Highly Recognized Teacher, Wang Ruixiang, from Laixi City, Shandong Province
Mr. Wang Ruixiang is 61 years old, a Falun Dafa practitioner and retired teacher from the Laixi City Vocational School, who had won Teaching Excellence awards during his tenure there. In June 2000, he went to Tiananmen Square to validate the Fa, and was arrested by police from the Tiananmen Station, then detained in Shijingshan Detention Center for seven days He was later sent back to the detention center located in the area where he resides. During this detention period, the police mentally tortured him and forced him do heavy labor. At the end of December 2001, Mr. Wang was arrested again because he joined a Fa-study group, for which he was detained fifteen days then sent directly to a forty-day brainwashing class held in Qingdao City. The city 610 Office took more than 5,000 yuan from his salary, and sent him to the Qingdao brainwashing class. The Party Discipline Committee suspended him from the Chinese Communist Party. The city personnel took away his rightful salary increase of one level. The 610 Office officials and police often went to his home to harass him, follow him, and once closely monitored him for forty days.

4. Facts about the Political & Security Department Head, Shen Tao of Laixi City, Shandong Province: Murder and Torture of Falun Dafa Practitioners
Beginning on July 20, 1999, the Political & Security Department head, Shen Tao (male) of Laixi City, Shandong Province followed the policies of Jiang and his regime in actively persecuting Falun Dafa practitioners, and in doing so he has committed unforgivable crimes. Shen Tao is responsible for the death of Falun Dafa practitioner Mr. Shi Hongjie from Wubei Town, Laixi City. Mr. Shi was dying from the tortures he suffered, and begged Shen Tao to save his life. Shen Tao not only did not do anything to help him, he encouraged prisoners to beat Mr. Shi to death. Another Falun Dafa practitioner, Ms. Sun Lin, was abducted by policeman Cui Chunzhang from the Binhelu Substation when posting truth-clarification stickers. Shen Tao directed a police officer to drag her behind a motorcycle until her entire body was covered with wounds.

5. Falun Dafa Practitioner Ms. Cai Meiqin Inhumanly Tortured by Policewoman Liu Zhongmei
Because Ms. Cai Meiqin firmly cultivated Falun Dafa, she was transferred from a brainwashing class to the Shanxi Provincial Women's Labor Camp on June 5, 2001. The ward leader Liu Zhongmei (female) could not stand Ms. Cai's solid faith and locked her in solitary confinement. She did not allow her to use the toilet or to sleep. She instructed prisoners to slap Ms. Cai's face, beat her constantly, and puncture her hands with three-inch-long steel wire (material used for products). With her hands bleeding, her screams of pain could be heard all the way down the hall. Ms. Cai used to weigh one hundred and sixty pounds when she entered the labor camp, but when she was released on medical parole, she only weighed eighty-eight pounds. With Liu Zhongqin leading, all the police in the Fourth Ward together beat Ms. Cai. Policewoman Liu also extorted seven to eight thousand yuan from her family, telling them that she would use the money help obtain a certification that Cai was mentally ill and have her released. She forced the police to take Ms. Cai to the mental hospital, but the doctors there determined that she was perfectly normal. Police then forced her take various psychotropic drugs through a force-feeding tube, which made her nose and stomach bleed.

6. Father of a Falun Dafa Practitioner Died During Police Harassment
Falun Dafa practitioner, Mr. Wang Xiaolun, has been forced to become homeless in order to avoid being illegally arrested at home during the past three years. His father had a terminal illness. However, his condition had been improving because of his favorable attitude towards Falun Dafa. Unfortunately, police officers and 610 Office officials constantly harassed him at home. Because of this, the elderly man dared not read Falun Dafa Books or practice the exercises, he lost hope of seeing his son again, and died under fear and severe stress.
