1. Falun Dafa Practitioners Han Yingli and Qiu Shuqin from Beijing Are Abused

Falun Dafa practitioner Ms. Han Yingli, an employee of Qinghua University, was sentenced in 2003 to four years in the Beijing Women's Prison. Another Falun Dafa practitioner from Qinghua University, Ms. Qiu Shuqin, has been held for an extended term in solitary confinement, with around the clock monitoring, but escaped on April 7, 2004. Falun Dafa practitioner Ms. Yuan Lin, an employee of Beijing University, was sentenced to eight years in the Beijing Women's Prison. There are many Falun Dafa practitioners detained there, and all of them are closely monitored. They are not allowed to talk to each other or meet together. These "strict control wards" are for practitioners who have remained steadfast. Ms. Zhang Shurong was shocked with electric batons, causing severe swelling and burns on her lips and face. She suffered a nervous breakdown and has lost the ability to care for herself. Most "Personal cangues" (1) are drug addicts, and many are very cruel. They play loud music during the day to cover their crimes of torture, and horrible screams can be heard constantly during the night. Ms. He Wenyi has endured inhuman suffering from being tortured, and she has been transferred back and forth between the hospital and the "strict control ward."

2. Lawless Officials at Jiansanjiang Police Station in Heilongjiang Province Arrest Several Falun Dafa Practitioners

The Jiansanjiang 610 Office used police to storm Falun Dafa practitioners' homes and arrest them. During the raids Falun Dafa practitioner Ms. Zhang Shoufen was arrested again and detained. She was sentenced to two years in a labor camp in 2002, and was sent to a brainwashing class immediately after her term ended. Within three months after returning home, she was arrested again. Ms. Liu Weiying was detained in a brainwashing center from May 2002 until July 2003. She was arrested in the spring of 2004 and released after she went on a hunger strike for several days. This is her third arrest. It was reported that there are many Falun Dafa practitioners detained at the Qixing Detention Center.

3. Young Shan Jie has Difficulty Going to School Because His Parents were Forced to Leave Home

Young Shan Jie's parents, Mr. Shan Baogui and Ms. Huang Guimei, were both employees of the Xiangdong Chemical Factory located in Yangzhangzi Town, Lingyuan City, Liaoning Province. They went to Beijing to appeal on behalf of Falun Gong in 1999, but were arrested and sent to a brainwashing center and severely tortured there. In April 2004, Ms. Huang Guimei was arrested again, and has been sent to a mental hospital and tortured as a mentally ill patient. Shan Jie's father and mother were both forced to become homeless, one after the other, to avoid being arrested at home. Their son Shan Jie lives with his grandparents. In order to pay his school fees, his grandparents have already borrowed nearly ten thousand yuan. They live a very hard life.

4. Ms. Gao Guiyun is Arrested and Taken to the Kaiping Forced Labor Camp in Tangshan City. Her Mother Died from the Stress.

Falun Dafa practitioner Ms. Gao Guiyun, 38, is a pharmacist employed at the Juyang Hospital in Sanhe City, Hebei Province. She was arrested on June 3, 2004 by undercover police at her workplace and immediately sent to the Kaiping Forced Labor Camp in Tangshan City, Hebei Province. On December 1, 2004, her whole family watched her eighty-two year old mother die while calling out her daughter's name. Her father died in April 2000, while under severe mental pressure. Ms. Gao's husband and son went to the labor camp to request her temporary release to attend her mother's funeral, but the request was rejected.

5. Zhengding County Court in Hebei Province Tried to Frame Falun Dafa Practitioner Ms. Zhang Xiuxia

Ms. Zhang Xiuxia is a villager who lives in Xichengpu Village, Zhengding County, Hebei Province. She was arrested while clarifying the truth to people in public. The Zhengding County Court sentenced her to a three year prison term that was suspended, and put her on parole for three years beginning October 13, 2003. Without any new evidence, on January 7, 2004, the court arrested and detained her. The court tried to change her three year parole and said that if she would write her regret letter again, they would reinstate her parole. She refused and is now held at the Zhengding County Detention Center.
