(Clearwisdom.net) Sanhe in Hebei Province is not a big city. Since July 20, 1999, though, according to a rough estimate, at least 41 Falun Gong practitioners in Sanhe were illegally sentenced to forced labor and hundreds were illegally detained, many of them repeatedly, some over a dozen times. These practitioners, who had benefited from practicing Falun Gong and have in turn brought benefits to their families and society, were sent to forced labor camps simply because they strive to be good persons and refuse to give up the principles of "Truth-Compassion-Tolerance," and because they trusted the government and kindly tried to clarify the truth of the persecution to the government. They did not do anything wrong, but only exercised their civil rights protected by the Chinese constitution. Some Falun Gong practitioners were arrested from their homes, wrongly accused, sentenced and suffered brutal torture.
