Facts of the Persecution

Six Falun Gong practitioners, including Jin Biao and Gong Yuru, were illegally jailed in the First Detention Center of Datong City, Shanxi Province. After 26 days of being on a hunger strike, their lives are currently in jeopardy. We hope that fellow practitioners can take actions to help rescue these six practitioners and stop the persecution. One suggestion is for all practitioners to send forth righteous thoughts frequently to help eliminate all evil factors in other dimensions that persecute practitioners in the Datong area.

My name is Kuang Senqia, and I am a practitioner from Hong Kong. Since the day that Jiang's regime began persecuting Falun Gong, the police in Shenzhen City have harassed my wife, family, and me continuously. Because I went to Beijing to appeal for Falun Gong, I was sent to a forced labor camp in October 1999. My father died of a heart attack on July 9, 2000, due to the stress caused by my arrest. In September 2001, I came to Hong Kong, while my wife, son, and a newborn daughter went back to my hometown, Lufeng City. On May 19, 2004, the police in Lufeng City broke into my wife's residence and attempted to take her away. Police officers continue to monitor my wife's house to this day. I urge the police in Lufeng to stop persecuting my wife and family members immediately.

Practitioners Lei Jianli, Ms. Yue, and Yang Yuying from Zhijiang County, Hunan Province, are all school teachers. On May 11, they were abducted again recently by the police and the "610 Office" [an agency specifically created to persecute Falun Gong, with absolute power over each level of administration in the Party and all other political and judiciary systems] and sent to the Baimalong Female Forced Labor Camp in Zhuzhou City, Hunan Province. The Political and Judicial Committee director, Yang Tianling, of Zhijiang County, is also the head of the local "610 Office." He ordered that the salaries of teachers Mr. Lei Minsheng, Ms. Yue and Ms. Lei Jianli be withheld without reason. Lei Minsheng, 69, retired from Zhijiang First High School, was abducted and jailed for one month before they illegally put him in the detention center. His so-called crime was to distribute materials clarifying the truth about Falun Gong. While in jail, Mr. Lei suddenly developed unbearably acute stomach pains and he was released unconditionally.

Mr. Wang Guiming, a practitioner in his thirties, of Tonghua City, Jilin Province, was illegally sentenced to five years in prison. He was sent to Jilin Prison on January 4, 2003. Police officers ordered six inmates who were criminal offenders to beat Mr. Wang for eight days and nights nonstop. The beatings injured his internal organs and left him in critical condition. At the beginning of 2004, Mr. Wang was transferred to Jilin Province's Siping Prison. He was brutally beaten again when he tore down a poster that slandered Falun Dafa. Mr. Wang has been rendered incontinent as a result of the brutal beatings.

Wu Yifeng, a highway bridge expert from Jilin Province, was illegally sentenced to nine years in prison, and was imprisoned in Jilin City Prison due to his belief in "Truthfulness, Compassion, and Tolerance." During the imprisonment he was severely tortured every day. Later he was transferred to Siping Prison. Recently he was released on medical parole so that he could receive treatment for his liver problem. He is currently in the tuberculosis hospital and has severe symptoms of liver fluid accumulation and sometimes he even falls into comas.

My name is Zhu Yifang. I am a practitioner from Guangyuan City in Sichuan Province. I was persecuted many times because I persisted in cultivating Falun Gong. The police would arrest me or beat me up whenever they felt like it. The street office and neighborhood association people also came to my house to harass me frequently, as well as watch and follow me everywhere. In the jail, the police punched my head, knocked me unconscious, and then hung me up, denying me sleep for seven days straight. This, plus many other tortures, caused severe damage to my mind and body.

Minxi Prison police officer Yuan Zheng often smeared and slandered Falun Gong and Teacher Li in public. On March 3, 2004, he and some inmates beat and kicked practitioner Lu Yaocai, causing many injuries to his body and bleeding from his mouth. Yuan tied him up to aggravate his suffering on two occasions.

Reports of persecutions of practitioners in Foyedong Village, Lingyuan City, Liaoning Province: Ms. Xun Fengxiang was arrested three times, sent to forced labor camp two times, and had money extorted from her. Mr. Yang Chunfu was illegally sent to the forced labor camp and his aged wife Ms. Wang Cuilan was abducted and had money extorted from her. Mr. Tian Cuirong was sent to the forced labor camp and later forced to stay away from his home. Ms. Mi Yanli is still being persecuted in Masanjia Forced Labor Camp.

Practitioner Xue Guijie from Harbin City, Heilongjiang Province was illegally sentenced to prison for one and a half years. On his release, about ten people followed him and abducted him as soon as he walked into his home. They took him to "Wuchang City Transformation School" (a brainwashing class) to further persecute him.

Senior engineer Zhang Zhiyuan of Harbin International Engineering Consulting Company, and his wife Lan Yanping, went to Beijing to validate Dafa in October 1999 and were arrested. They were jailed in Daoli Jail for over 70 days. In December 1999, the Discipline Supervisory Bureau expelled Zhang from the Communist Party, terminated all his positions in the company, and reduced his salary to the general employee's level. In December 2000, Mr. Zhang went to Beijing to validate Dafa again and was arrested and sent to the Shunyi County Jail in Beijing. He was stripped naked and put outside barefoot in subfreezing temperatures in the winter. Later, he was brought to Harbin and put in a forced labor camp for a year.

After July 20, 1999, practitioner Wu Shandong of Jiyang County, Shandong Province was expelled from the party because he wrote letters to the county leaders to explain to them the facts about Falun Gong. They also fired him from his position, but allowed him to stay in the company, contingent on his behavior. In July 2001, they abducted Mr. Wu and sent him to Liuchangshan Forced Labor Camp in Ji'nan City, Shandong Province, where they planned to persecute him for three years. Mr. Wu escaped from the labor camp with his righteous thoughts in November 2003. His wife was not able to endure such difficulty and forced him to divorce her. Mr. Wu was also forced to become homeless because the police in Jiyang City kept harassing his family.

News and Activities around the World

In March 2004, several members of the Xiaoyaoxin Choir and two young practitioners went to the famous tourist attraction in Taiwan -- Zhungzheng Memorial Hall -- once again. They used their music, voices, and sincere smiles to explain to the visitors the facts that "Falun Dafa is great" and "Falun Dafa helped millions of people improve their minds, bodies and spirit." Many tourists, as well as local residents, stopped to listen to the beautiful music that the practitioners composed, and said that it was truly magnificent.

Perpetrators and Their Crimes

Liu Hua was the captain of the First Team of Division Seven in Xishanping Forced Labor Camp, Chongqing City between December 2001 and June 2002. He was most vicious and violent in torturing practitioners. During the same period, over 100 practitioners were rendered disabled by his torture, and over 500 were sent to the hospital for emergency rescue. The frequency of instances of torture to practitioners Zhang Quanliang, Lin Decai, Liu Jibing, Yan Xinpei, and Wang Zhengrong was on average over ten times a day. Some days it could run as high as 20 or 30 times.
