Facts of the Persecution

-- Falun Dafa practitioner, Mr. Jing Zhixin from Huadian City, Jilin Province is detained in Yinmahe Labor Camp of Jiutai City. On February 23, 2004, he went on hunger strike to resist the persecution. He was transferred to Ward No. 1, where most prisoners are detained for drug charges. Mr. Jing clarified the truth to all prisoners there, and helped them to have a positive understanding of Falun Dafa. On March 31, 2004, Wang, the labor camp clinic director, force-fed Mr. Jing very roughly, which caused Mr. Jing's nose to bleed profusely, so that blood covered his shirt. Several prisoners who were former drug addicts questioned Wang, "Are you a veterinarian or a doctor?" Later, all of the prisoners there condemned Wang.

-- Falun Dafa practitioner, Mr. Pei Guangbin, 35, was formerly a volunteer assistant for the Falun Dafa Assistance Center in Huludao City, Liaoning Province. For firmly believing in Truthfulness, Compassion and Tolerance, Mr. Pei was harassed by corrupt officials beginning on July 20, 1999, when the persecution began. He has been forced to attend brainwashing classes, put under house arrest, detained, and sent to a forced labor camp. He didn't give in to the evil, solidly held on to his beliefs, and endured both mental and physical torture. On March 31, 2004, after he had been married for less than one year, both he and his wife Yang Yuhong were abducted by police, and detained in the Huludao Detention Center. Mr. Pei has now been sent to the Lingyuan City Police Hospital for emergency treatment since his life is in danger. His wife Yang Yuhong has been on hunger strike for more than 40 days, and has been brutally force-fed. During a physical check-up she was found to have tuberculosis, but the police will not release her.

-- Mr. Pei Yeming's family of four from Hepu City, Guangxi Province all practice Falun Dafa. His family has been persecuted since July 20, 1999. Mr. Pei, his wife, and his daughter have been detained multiple times, and sent to a forced labor camp. Also, their 12-year-old son has lost his supporting family.

-- Falun Dafa practitioner Ms. Yang Fenfang is a resident of Pingding Village, Pingding Township, Zhouqu County, Gannan Tibetan Autonomous District, Gansu Province. She has twice been locked up in a brainwashing center. Her husband, Zhaoyongcai, and younger brother, Yang Zongcheng, have both been sent to forced labor camps. Under intense emotional pressure, she suddenly died in October 2002.

-- On February 12, 2004, at around 10:00 p.m., persecutor Cao Jinyao from Wangdu County, Hebei Province led a group of police to storm into Falun Dafa practitioner Ms. Wang Kunzhu's home located at Beikangzhuang Village, Chengguan Town, Wangdu County, Hebei Province. They abducted Ms. Wang Kunzhu and took her to the county detention center, where she is currently being held under the charge of having truth-clarifying flyers in her home.

-- Falun Dafa practitioners from Yunlin County, Taiwan held a group Fa-study on June 13, 2004 in Linnei Township. Practitioners of all ages attended. The atmosphere was very peaceful and serene. In order to effectively spread the Fa to people, they formed a waist-drum band, and are preparing to perform during the July 9 International Costume Festival.
