Taiwan: County and City Council Resolutions Condemn Organ Harvesting in China (Photos)

(Clearwisdom.net) On October 11, 2006, the Taichung City Council passed a resolution (Number 3-12 Health) condemning the Chinese Communist regime for persecuting Falun Gong practitioners and illegally trafficking human organs. As of this date, more than half of the 21 county and cities in Taiwan have signed the resolution, and others are in the process of co-signing it.

(Clearwisdom.net) Falun Gong practitioners held a rally during the Australian Parliament meeting on October 17, 2006 in front of the Parliament Building in Canberra. They called upon the government to fulfill its promise to support independent investigations into the Chinese Communist Party's (CCP) harvesting of organs from living Falun Gong practitioners. Civil groups and organizations from Australia also came to the rally to support. One of them was a representative of the Refugee Action Committee in Canberra, Sister Jane Keogh.

Ms. Lu Yanfang, 60, Persecuted to Death by Police from Nancheng Police Station of Shulan City, Jilin Province

(Clearwisdom.net) Falun Dafa practitioner Ms. Lu Yanfang from Shulan City, Jilin Province died on October 10, 2006 due to persecution by police from the Nancheng Police Station. Before her death, she had to leave home to escape the persecution. That night, police officers from the Nancheng Police Station and staff from the Shulan City National Security Brigade illegally arrested practitioners Mr. Zhang Zhonghua, Mr. Zhao Yiguang and Mr. Zhao's wife and ransacked their homes.
