Falun Gong Practitioner Ms. Qiu Subi, 66, from Leshan City, Sichuan Province Dies of Persecution

(Clearwisdom.net) Falun Gong Practitioner Qiu Subi from Leshan City, Sichuan Province suffered long term persecution because of her persistence in cultivating Falun Dafa. She died on November 9, 2006.

Ms. Qiu Subi, 66, lived in the Xinan Physics Institute Compound of Nuclear Industry in Leshan City, Sichuan Province. She began practicing Falun Dafa in July 1997. Later her daughter and her son (Lei Song) also started practicing. Both of Lei Song's legs were paralyzed due to a car accident. But after practicing Dafa for just one month he was able to stand on both his feet. In November 1999, Ms. Qiu and her son Lei Song went to Beijing to appeal for Dafa. They were illegally detained for one month. After being sent home, they were forced to report to the local police station in the morning and were not released until the evening. They had to do this for over six months. The institute's local police and the security department prohibited Lei Song from having a job to earn a living, which made Ms. Qiu Subi's husband very angry. He was found to have late stage lung cancer and died in October 2000. In December 2000, Ms. Qiu and her son Lei Song went to Tiananmen Square in Beijing to appeal for Dafa again. They were sentenced to one and a half years of forced labor (with custody outside of prison).
