She was arrested around noon on January 14, 2007, on her way to clarifying the truth in Nanjing City, Jiangsu Province. She was first held at Xiejiadian Police Station located in Dachang Town, Nanjing City, and then was taken to Nanjing City Detention Center between 5:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m. on the same day.
