Australia: Supreme Court of New South Wales Clears the Way to a Default Trial if Bo Xilai Continues Ignoring the Lawsuit Brought Against Him (Photos)
(Clearwisdom.net) The New South Wales Supreme Court in Sydney, Australia, held a preliminary hearing on October 8, 2007, into the lawsuit charging Chinese Minister of Commerce Bo Xilai with torture. Plaintiff's attorney Andrew attended and stated the lawsuit had been delivered to Bo on September 4 during the APEC summit. The defendant failed to respond, either in person or via counsel. The court agreed that the plaintiff's attorney could request a default trial if the plaintiff fails to respond by the next hearing, scheduled for November 5, 2007.
Indonesia: Art Exhibition Exposes CCP Brutality (Photos)
(Clearwisdom.net) On October 1, 2007, the Coalition to Investigate the Persecution of Falun Gong (CIPFG) and several organizations in Indonesia, including Majelis Ulama Indonesia (MUI), Community Information Centers (CICS), and two associations of historians, held an art exhibition. The theme was: "Review the Indonesian Communist Party's Violations of Human Rights and Democracy in Indonesia." Most of the art works were about the persecution of Falun Gong in China.
