(Clearwisdom.net) On Saturday June 10th, Slovak Falun Gong practitioners visited Skalica, a small town in western Slovakia. In the main square, practitioners set up a petition table and stands with banners about Falun Gong and about the persecution of the practice in China.
A local man stopped to sign the petition. He said, "In our country people often forget tolerance. He added that it is probably because of people's faith in something that they were able to endure such periods of history. Then he said that modern life seems too hectic to him and he wishes for a return to traditional things.
Many people stopped for a while and expressed interest in the Falun Gong exercises and their effect on health and some wanted to learn. One lady said she was willing to learn Falun Gong in order to gain peace and balance of mind.
One local inhabitant remarked that the communist regime caused a lot of trouble in Slovakia and it is probably the same in China.
During the activity, more than fifty people signed the petition.
