CIPFG: Chinese Communist Regime Violates Olympic Spirit

(Clearwisdom.net) On August 2, 2007, the Central News Agency reported that the Coalition to Investigate the Persecution of Falun Gong (CIPFG) Asia Division stated that the Beijing Government had violated the Olympic Spirit by conducting political censoring to exclude forty-three types of people, including Falun Gong practitioners, from the 2008 Olympic Games.

Taiwan: Yilan County Council Passes Bill Condemning Hong Kong Authorities' Violation of Human Rights (Photos)

(Clearwisdom.net) On July 30 2007, the Yilan County Council passed a bill that strongly condemned Hong Kong authorities who used a "blacklist" provided by the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) to prevent Falun Gong practitioners from entering Hong Kong. Falun Gong practitioners were barred from boarding airplanes headed for Hong Kong, many were refused visas and some Taiwanese Falun Gong practitioners who traveled to Hong Kong shortly before the tenth anniversary of Hong Kong's handover to China were violently deported. Immediately after these events, two council members, Mr. Hongmou Wu and Mr. Jinling Chen, introduced this bill at the County Council temporary meeting, and recommended that the county government pass it on to the central government, to ask for an apology from Hong Kong and a promise that this will not happen again. The bill was passed with 24 votes from different parties.

(Clearwisdom.net) On the afternoon of August 2, 2007, the Coalition to Investigate the Persecution of Falun Gong Asia Division held a "Human Rights Torch Relay" press conference in Kuala Lumpur. During the press conference, the CIPFG announced that the human rights torch will be lit in Athens on August 9. Attorney N. Surendran, a Malaysia member of the organization said, "The human rights torch symbolizes that people around the world are united in taking action to stop the regime's horrifying atrocities. The torch will be relayed in the five continents [Asia, Europe, North America, Oceania, South America]."
