(Clearwisdom.net) Many Falun Gong practitioners were arrested in Yanbian City, Jilin Province since July of 2009.
Police arrested practitioner Ms. Piao Zhengsu from Huichun City on July 21, 2009 and held her at the Huichun Detention Center.
Two days later, on July 23, 2009, Fudong Police Station agents arrested practitioners Ms. Liu Xiuxiang, Liu Xi and Gao Changsuo.
That same night, four police agents, including Wang Baohua from the Dongguang Town Police Station, rushed into Mudan Village, jumped the fence into practitioner Ms. Li Wenshu's yard, arrested her and took her Falun Gong books, informational materials, a laptop, an MP3 player, an MP4 player and more than 30,000 yuan cash (the money belonged to her daughter and son who saved it working overseas).
On July 27, 2009, Helong Police Department personnel arrested Yanji City practitioner Ms. Li Fengyun and held her at the Helong Detention Center. They had sentenced her husband, Mr. Shen Quanhui, to eight years in prison earlier that month.
The next month, the morning of August 12, 2009, police arrested 60-year-old practitioner Ms. Jin Zhenjin from her home in Yanji City. Her son's family was visiting from far away to celebrate her grandson's first birthday. Ms. Jin was holding the baby when the police came, and the baby's parents were not present. She pleaded with the police to wait until the birthday celebration was over and come back the next day, but her plea was ignored. The frightened baby couldn't stop crying. The police ignored it and seized Ms. Jin. The scene was heartbreaking.
Six days later, on August 18, 2009, police arrested 60-year-old Ms. Zhao Xueshun and her husband from their home near the Henanxinyuan Apartment Building and confiscated their computer, printer and supplies.
Around August 25, 2009, police arrested elderly practitioner Ms. Jin Lianshun.
The next afternoon, August 26, 2009, officers from the Helong Police Department arrested practitioner Zheng Yawen and ransacked his home.
We discovered on August 27, 2009 that practitioner Ms. Lin Yuxue from Yanji City is being held at the Yanji City Detention Center.
