(Clearwisdom.net) Sepi Richardson, a City of Brisbane council member was in attendance as Shen Yun Performing Arts continues to amaze audiences at the San Francisco War Memorial Opera House, and wished to tell Shen Yun performers, "Tonight I'm changed and I owe it to all of you, thank you!"

Councilwoman Richardson also attended last season's performance, twice

"I think it's wonderful to see all of you here again," she said.

Ms. Richardson had attended last season's performance - twice. "I was here last year and I saw two of the performances. And, what I picked up [then] from the performances were all these beautiful gorgeous dancers, beautiful colors and costumes. Tonight, I actually got something totally different, which is really exciting," she said.

Ms. Richardson felt after seeing Shen Yun she gained insight on a deep level, "We get so busy with our daily lives that we really forget there are bigger things out there. Parents are very busy with their lives, with their work. We are not teaching our kids as much as we would like to about spirituality, about the heritage that we have, the background that we have," she said

Ms. Richardson, a former mayor of Brisbane, California, shared her feelings that Shen Yun performances are good for parents to bring their kids to, as they truly teach the meaning of life, and to not to be so much into ourselves, because there is something bigger out there.

"It's fascinating," she continued, "There is a saying that we have, 'in order to have the lamp burning you need to put oil in it.' What all of you are doing is putting oil in the lamp to keep the lamp burning by passing these spiritual messages, beautiful dances, beautiful customs, beautiful ancestral meaning of life to our future generations. It's remarkable." Ms. Richardson felt the entire production team did a wonderful job. "I feel like I'm leaving with a lamp," she said.

Ms. Richardson would like to tell everyone to, "get off the couch, and participate in reviving and continuing this beautiful heritage."

She thinks that all Chinese people should be very proud of their classical heritage, and feels that Chinese people should come out to see New York-based Shen Yun for themselves. "I guarantee when you leave this program you are not the same person who came! I'm very grateful for tonight's performance, it was beautiful."

Ms. Richardson summed up her feelings after the show: "The beautiful, incredible, talented people of China have passed it to the future generations and [they are] passing it to the entire world ... to do something for us to truly understand the meaning of life, the meaning of spirituality and the heritage that you have that it has to go to the future, I think its an obligation for all of us to come and see programs like this. I'm so delighted, I'm so honored!"
