Walking Diligently on the Divine Path
Greetings to esteemed Master! Greetings to Dafa disciples all over the world!
I am over 70 years old. I became a Falun Dafa practitioner in 1996. With Teacher's merciful protection, I have walked on the path of cultivation for 14 years. Below is my understanding of my 14 years' cultivation which I would like to report to Teacher and fellow practitioners.
A Sense of Mission Drives Me to Do What I Should
Like all Falun Dafa practitioners in China, I have encountered a lot of ordeals in cultivation during the Fa-rectification period. Having been arrested and harassed many times, I disintegrated the evil with righteous thoughts under Teacher's protection and merged into the mighty current of Fa-rectification. Especially after I became a local coordinator, I increased and improved my Fa study which led to an enhanced understanding of the Fa principles. Very quickly, I was able to jump out of the erroneous mindset of "counter-persecution," which in effect, acknowledged the persecution, and instead, comprehensively denied the persecution of the Fa. My sense of mission as a Fa-rectification period Dafa practitioner arose spontaneously, and I am now able to live and cultivate in an open and honorable manner.
Why My Husband No Longer Drinks or Plays Mahjong
1. Follow Master's Teaching to Not Hit Back When Attacked, nor Return Insults
I used to be intolerant when it came to living and interacting with my family. I didn't like my husband's bad habits of drinking and playing mahjong. Although I only wanted him to become a better person, my words towards him were filled with finger-pointing, grudges, repulsion, and strong intent to change him. In fact, it was not benevolent in the first place. A practitioner carries energy, so when we think and speak without benevolence, the outcome will be against our will. I didn't want him to play mahjong any more, yet to the contrary, he became addicted and placed bigger and bigger bets.
