(Clearwisdom.net)ADELAIDE, Australia--Shen Yun Performing Arts received an enthusiastic welcome as it graced the stage at Adelaide's Entertainment Centre on May 7.

Christine Climas and Lynn Nicholson, both aged care workers, had traveled from Mount Gambia to see Shen Yun Performing Arts. "We've actually travelled for six hours to come up, and it's definitely worth [it] ... I'd travel 12 hours to see it," explained Ms. Climas.

Christine Climas and Lynn Nicholson, both aged care workers, had traveled from Mount Gambia.

Shen Yun had left both women in awe. "It was amazing, absolutely amazing. Sort of a delight to all your senses," said Ms. Climas.

They were delighted by the display of China's ethnic cultures. "I love that, we're very much into that, and I like the message [Shen Yun] is trying to get across too ... it was very subtly done," said Ms. Nicholson. She felt that it was a pity that Shen Yun could not perform in China.

Referring to the dance Astounding Conviction she believed that it was about being able to practice one's own faith in China without fear of retribution.

According to the program, in this dance, "The curtain opens to reveal a lone man in Tiananmen Square holding a banner that says 'Falun Dafa is Good.' With these simple words of affirmation, he peacefully expresses his opposition to the government policy of persecution that targets his faith."

Both ladies appreciated seeing classical Chinese dance and culture. "It must have taken months and months of training--absolutely months of training and rehearsing," added Ms. Nicholson who had been amazed that the dancers performed without making a sound on the stage.

"The performers really just floated along, and when you had so many performing with the long sleeves, and I think at one stage there were 24, and they were relatively close together, it was faultless, it was just so graceful and elegant," Ms. Climas said.

They were quite pleased to see the number of young children in the audience who were learning about China's traditional culture.

They were amazed to learn that Shen Yun Performing Arts was based in New York, not China, and wished to see it again. "If it [Shen Yun] was on for five nights, I'd come back five times, they were just amazing. We'll certainly be back next year I can tell you," said Ms. Nicholson.

Touched by the Performances

"It was beautiful!" said company director Diane Groves after seeing Shen Yun Performing Arts New York Company at the Adelaide Entertainment Centre on May 7.

Visibly moved and "amazed" by the performance Astounding Conviction, in which a lone man holds a banner in Tiananmen Square that says "Falun Dafa is Good." Ms. Groves expressed a conviction of her own.

"It is absolutely shocking what is happening in China now. The chap was holding up the banner and he was being accosted by communist soldiers and zapped with tasers."

Touched by this scene from contemporary China, Ms. Groves wished to send a message of encouragement and said that regardless of what is happening in China today "the people with love in their hearts will come through."
