(Clearwisdom.net) According to an indirect source, Ms. Huang Duohong, a Falun Gong practitioner from Xiangtan City, Hunan Province, who was arrested on August 19, has been on a hunger strike for one and a half months to resist the persecution. Her situation has people concerned about her well-being. Despite her condition, agents from the Xiangtan 610 Office and the State Security Bureau refuse to release her. Instead, they are trying to make up crimes to accuse her with in an attempt to bring her to trial and sentence her.

On August 19, Ms. Huang went to visit her friend Mr. Li Zhigang, who is also a practitioner in Furong District, Changsha City. Mr. Li is a former Associate Researcher at the National Defense Technology University, who was fired from his job because he refused to give up Falun Gong. In the afternoon, Mr. Li accompanied his mother to go outside for a walk, while Ms. Huang remained at his home resting. At around 5 p.m., while Mr. Li and his mother were on their way home, police officers from Chaoyangjie Police Station, who were waiting in ambush, arrested them. After that, those police officers used the key that they had confiscated to enter Mr. Li’s home, where they found Ms. Huang. After they interrogated her, they forcibly took her away.

Both Ms. Huang and Mr. Li were detained at the Laodaohe Brainwashing Center, located in the northern suburban area of the Changsha City and jointly run by the Changsha City 610 Office and the Political and Judicial Committee. Mr. Li firmly resisted the persecution and was released at the end of September. Ms. Huang was taken back to Xiangtan City and detained at Sanjiaoping Detention Center. In order to resist the persecution, Ms. Huang went on a hunger strike, and she demanded her unconditional release.

After July 1999, when the CCP (Chinese Communist Party) began to persecute Falun Gong, because Ms. Huang would not give up her belief, she was thrown into Baimalong Women’s Forced Labor Camp in Zhuzhou, where she was subjected to numerous tortures. In September 2002, Ms. Huang was held in the "strictly monitored division." During that period, under the instigation of guards, drug-addicts from the labor camp stuffed dirty clothes into her mouth, slapped her in the face and kicked her lower body violently. After Ms. Huang was released from the labor camp, she was harassed by the CCP officers of Xiangtan City. She was forced to leave home and has been living in other places during the past few years in order to avoid persecution. Now she is suffering abuse at the hands of police officers from Changsha and Xiangtan City once again.
