(Minghui.org) Ms. Wang Ruiying is from Weifang City, Shandong Province. She graduated from college in the 1960’s. With her outgoing personality and eloquent way of speaking, she was an excellent English translator in a well-known company – Huaguang LLC. However, because of her belief in Falun Gong, she was arrested on the morning of September 6, 2012 by the Weifang 610 Office, and held at the Chinese Communist Party School in Quiwen District, Weifang City.

1. Cured After Practicing Falun Gong
Ms. Wang Ruiying lives in the Nanhu Community at Gonganxiang, in the Quiwen District. Before she began practicing Falun Dafa, seventeen years ago, she suffered from many illnesses, including kidney disease, cardiovascular, and cerebrovascular disease. She was unable to walk or carry anything heavy.
In May 1997, Ms. Wang started practicing Falun Dafa. Two months later, she felt as if she had changed into a different person. Her skin became fair and rosy without any wrinkles, and she became very energetic, even able to carry a fifty-pound bag of flour to the fourth floor. She became healthy. Her colleagues and neighbors witnessed her changes.
Ms. Wang Ruiying lives by the principles “Truthfulness-Compassion-Tolerance.” She is a sincere, kind and warm person. Before the road was paved in her district, she and other Falun Dafa practitioners maintained the road. She shoveled the snow in winter and cleaned the area where she lived in summer from the first to the fourth floor. She always helped her sick neighbors. She is well-known for her kindness where she lives and at the market.
2. Monitored and Home Ransacked
After the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) started persecuting Falun Dafa, Ms. Wang Ruiying was often harassed and monitored by local police. She was listed on the persecutors' blacklist for practitioners. The National Security Bureau of Weifang City, Weifang Public Security Bureau, the National Security Team, and the Quiwen District 610 Office tapped her home phone. In addition, beginning October 1, 2009, she was monitored around the clock. Plainclothes police followed her clandestinely even when she went grocery shopping. They even monitored her daughter’s family and the hotel owned by her sister-in-law.
On December 15, 2009, many officers from the Quiwen Public Security Bureau of Weifang City ransacked her home and confiscated her personal belongings, including Falun Dafa books and truth clarification materials about Falun Dafa. Shocked and frightened, Ms. Wang Ruiying had a heart attack and lost consciousness. Seeing that she was in critical condition, the police feared that they would be held responsible, so they didn’t arrest her, but asked her husband to sign the “release on bail” form, in which Ms. Wang was labeled as a “criminal suspect.”
The Weifang City 610 Office has hired people to secretly follow Ms. Wang. For those that were in it for the long haul, the 610 Office paid 3,000 yuan per month, and others were paid 50 yuan per day. The 610 Office claimed, “She is nearly 70 years old. She is worth our effort to follow.”
Ms. Wang has a big heart. She never resented those who hurt her. Instead she still clarified the truth about Falun Dafa to them. When she saw the person who was assigned to follow her, she asked him kindly, “Young fellow, are you looking for someone? I can help you. I have lived here for nearly twenty years. I know most of the people here.” That person shamefully lowered his head.
On a cold winter night, Ms. Wang saw a young man assigned to monitor her, shivering from the cold. She said to him, “You wear so little and you are shivering. Your mother would be so worried.” She came across this type of young man many times.
Ms. Wang Ruiying saw the van that was assigned to monitor her at around 11:00 a.m. on a hot summer day. She knocked on the car window and asked, “It must be very hot inside the car.” The person rolled down the window and replied, “We have air conditioning.” Ms. Wang reminded him kindly, “But the engine in the car doesn’t have air conditioning. Be careful.” The owner thanked her for her kind thoughts.
She told the agents, “You must have a family too. I sincerely wish happiness and peace to your family. Falun Dafa teaches people to be kind by following the principles of Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance. I hope you have a chance to learn the truth about Falun Dafa and treat practitioners with kindness. We ask people to withdraw from the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) organizations so that they can be safe.”
3. Arrested
In the morning of February 9, 2012, when Ms. Wang was clarifying the facts about Falun Dafa, she was arrested by police from the Dayu Street Police Station. On the way to the police station, she developed heart attack symptoms and her condition became critical. Because the police didn’t want to be held responsible, they notified her child to take her home. After she returned home, she miraculously recovered after practicing the exercises.
4. Taken to a Brainwashing Center
On the morning of September 6, 2012, staff at all levels from the 610 Office in Weifang City were arresting many practitioners whose names were on a blacklist. It was rumored that there were five to ten practitioners at the brainwashing center at the Quiwen District Party School.
Ms. Wang, 67, was arrested by agents from the 610 Office at around 6:00 a.m. on September 6, 2012, and taken to a brainwashing center which was located east of the intersection of Fushou Street and Wenhua Road in Quiwen District.
The brainwashing center was called the Legislative Training Center, and was located behind locked iron gates. Inside the courtyard, facing the entrance, the words "Promoting Science" were written on a wall, along with slogans that slandered Falun Dafa. The money for renovating this center was forcibly taken from practitioners. It was a place for torturing practitioners.
The main task of the brainwashing center was to extort money. They either forced the families of practitioners to write promissory notes, stating that they would no longer practice Falun Dafa, or sign a similar note, or their work units or families would have to pay a training fee, study and transformation fee, fines, deposits, and so on, before the practitioners were released. Ms. Wang's family was very worried and asked for her release daily. She was finally released on September 29, 2012, one day before the Mid-Autumn festival.
There are currently several practitioners detained in this brainwashing center.
