(Minghui.org) Today's News from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 12 cities or counties in 6 provinces. In this report, 21 practitioners were subjected to mistreatment during their detention and at least 13 practitioners were illegally arrested.

1. [Kunming City, Yunnan Province] Follow-up Reports on the Arrests of Ms. Yang Qiongxian and Other Practitioners

Many Kunming practitioners were arrested on February 7, 2012, in Luliang County by the Domestic Security Division. As of today, more than ten practitioners are confirmed to be arrested. They are: Ms. Yang Qiongxian, Ms. Luo Lifang, Ms. Xiao Yuxia, Ms. Wu Qihui, Ms. Wu Qifang, Ms. Jin Daolan, Ms. Wu Guangzhen, Ms. Wu Haiyan, Ms. Jiang Xuemei, Ms. Ren Lina, Ms. Yang Juying, Ms. Yang Gongxiu (released), and Mr. Wu Qiwen. Ms. Xiao Yuxia, Ms. Jiang Xuemei, and several other practitioners are being held at the Luliang Detention Center. Ms. Yang Qiongxian, Ms. Luo Lifang, Ms. Wu Qifang, Ms. Jin Daolan, Ms. Wu Guangzhen, Ms. Wu Haiyan, Ms. Ren Lina, Ms. Yang Juying, and Mr. Wu Qiwen have been taken back to Kunming by Kunming police. They are currently being held at their local detention houses.

On the afternoon of February 8, 2012, officers from the Luliang County Police Department, Guandu Police Sub-bureau, and Juhua Police Station pried open the door to Ms. Xiao Yuxia's home and ransacked it. The police confiscated a horizontal tablet that had the characters “Truthfulness-Compassion-Tolerance,” calendars that contained truth clarification information, Falun Gong books, a cellphone, ten plus phone cards, MP5 player, and other personal belongings. That afternoon, the police also ransacked the homes of Ms. Luo Lifang, Ms. Ren Lina, and Ms. Wu Guangzhen.

2. [Panshi City, Jilin Province] Mr. Zong Cheng Sent to Forced Labor Camp

Mr. Zong Cheng was arrested on November 16, 2011. He was sentenced to 18 months of forced labor and taken to the Chaoyanggou Forced Labor Camp in Changchun City on November 30, 2011.

3. [Zhengzhou City, Henan Province] Ms. Wang Xuezhen's Money Extorted

On December 6, 2011, Wang Dianqing and several other officers from the Jingba Road Police Station arrested Ms. Wang Xuezhen and took her to the Zhengzhou First Detention Center. The officers from the Jingba Road Police Station released Ms. Wang after having extorted 30,000 ~ 40,000 yuan from her family.

4. [Dezhou City, Shandong Province] Four Practitioners Arrested

On the morning of February 9, 2012, Ms. Han Mei was arrested in Yingbin Market. The officers took her to the Jianzigu Police Station in Decheng District. Ms. Han is being held at a brainwashing facility at the Xinyue Hotel.

The police arrested three more practitioners at Ms. Han's home that afternoon. One male practitioner was released. Two other female practitioners are being held at the Jianzigu Police Station.

5. [Taiyuan City, Shanxi Province] Ms. Li Hong Detained

On December 21, 2011, officers from the Qinxian Police Station in Xiaodian District arrested Ms. Li Hong. Ms. Li is being held at the Taiyuan First Detention Center.

6. [Beijing] Ms. Wen Mulan Arrested

On the morning of February 1, 2012, officers from the Miyun County Domestic Security Division arrested Ms. Wen Mulan, who is almost 70 years old, and ransacked her home.

7. [Jinan City, Shandong Province] Mr. Yu Zongping and His Wife Arrested

On the afternoon of February 8, 2012, Mr. Yu Zongping and his wife Ms. Ji Guangli were arrested by officers from the Daminghu Police Station while speaking with people about Falun Gong. Their home was later ransacked and they were taken to the Liuchangshan Brainwashing Center in Jinan City. Ms. Ji was released on February 9.

8. [Xuzhou City, Jiangsu Province] More Information on the Arrests of Several Practitioners

Several practitioners from the Kuangshanbei Village, Quanshan District, were arrested around November 17, 2011. Their homes were ransacked. Mr. Yang Hongqi was detained at the Sihong Prison. Other practitioners were released after being forced to pay 5,000 yuan for bail. They are: Ms. Gao Chunmei, Mr. Yang Hongqi's wife, Mr. Tang Hongju, Ms. Zhou, Ms. Wei Yonghua, and Ms. Zhou.

9. [Tianjin] Ms. Peng Yonghong Taken to Brainwashing Center

On February 5, 2012, Ms. Peng Yonghong, from Beichen District, was arrested by officers from the Ruijing Police Station while speaking with people about Falun Gong in a supermarket in Beichen District. She was taken to the Caozhuangzi Detention Center in Xiqing District. On February 10, personnel from the Ruijing Comprehensive Management Office took Ms. Peng to the Dagang District Brainwashing Center.

10. [Heze City, Shandong Province] Ms. Zhang Lumei Sent to Forced Labor

Ms. Zhang Lumei, 48, was arrested by officers from the Mudan District Domestic Security Division in December 2011. She was taken to the Shandong Province Women's No. 1 Forced Labor Camp on January 14, 2012.

On the morning of February 10, 2012, Mr. Cheng Jianbo, from Changshou District, was arrested at home by officers from the Duzhou Police Station. The police also confiscated his computer.
