(Minghui.org) Today's news from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 22 cities or counties in 9 provinces. In this report, 14 practitioners were subjected to mistreatment during their detention and at least 36 practitioners were illegally arrested.
1. [Honghezhou, Yunnan Province] Mr. Li Qipeng and Mr. Dai Penshun Arrested
Police officers broke into the homes of Mr. Li Qipeng and Mr. Dai Penshun on May 5, 2012 and took them away. They were acting under orders from Xie Yongpeng, Chief of the Kaiyuan Domestic Security Division in Honghezhou.
2. [Wuhan, Hubei Province] Additional Information about the Arrest of Mr. Wu Zhiqiang
Mr. Wu Zhiqiang was arrested on the afternoon of May 10, 2012 because he removed propaganda materials defaming Falun Dafa from a public location. He was first detained in the Qiaokou Detention Center, but has since been transferred to the Hubei Provincial Brainwashing Center.
3. [Dingxing, Hebei Province] Mr. Liu Dongpo and Ms. Meng Jinru Arrested
Mr. Liu Dongpo from Xijiang Village was arrested on May 17, 2012 and Ms. Meng Jinru from Dongjiang Village was arrested on the same day.
4. [Harbin, Heilongjiang Province] Ms. Wang Hui and Ms. Yan Tingzhen Severely Tortured in the Qianjin Forced Labor Camp
Under the highly intensive persecution at the Qianjin Forced Labor Camp, Ms Wang Hui was beaten and shocked by guards, which caused injuries all over her body. She has been mentally traumatized by the abuse.

5. [Tumen, Jilin Province] Ms. Chi Suling Severely Persecuted
During the afternoon of May 17, 2012, Ms. Chi Suling from Shixian Town, Tumen was taken from her workplace to a brainwashing session in the Songlin Senior Center by seven or eight policemen from the Shixian Police Station. Now she has symptoms of hypertension.
6. [Longchang County, Sichuan Province] Ms. Yu Bin Suffered a Mental Breakdown as a Result of Persecution in the Sichuan Women's Prison
Ms. Yu Bin from Longchang County was arrested in Chengdu, Sichuan Province in December 2008. She was sentenced to three and a half years in prison and detained in the Sichuan Women's Prison. She suffered a mental breakdown as a result of the persecution.
7. [Zhuhai, Guangdong Province] Ms. Huang Chuzhi Arrested
Ms. Huang Chuzhi, in her 50s, was arrested while she was distributing Falun Gong informational materials on the morning of May 20, 2012. At about 9 p.m. that day, more than ten policemen ransacked her home and took away her computer and other Falun Gong materials. Ms. Huang is being detained in the Meixi First Detention Center.
8. [Harbin, Heilongjiang] Ms. Qi Guizhen and Ms. Tao Guilan Arrested
On the afternoon of May 18, 2012, Ms. Qi Guizhen (60 years old) and Ms. Tao Guilan (73 yeas old) from Dongli District were taken to the Dongli Police Department by Qiu Haochun from the Daqinglu Police Station while they were talking to people about Falun Gong and distributing Shen Yun DVDs. Ms. Tao was released on the morning of May 19, 2012, but Ms. Qi was transferred to the Harbin Third Detention Center.

9. [Dunhua, Jilin Province] Ms. Zhang Min and Two Other Falun Gong Practitioners Arrested
On May 18, 2012, Ms. Zhang Min and another practitioner were arrested by officers form the Bohaijie Police Station while they were talking to people about Falun Gong. Ms. Wang Fengmei was also taken away recently.

10. [Tianjin] Mr. Li Wunan Arrested
On the afternoon of May 13, 2012, Mr. Li Wunan from Xixiuyuan, Xiqing District was taken away by officers from the Wanxingcun Police Station in Nankai District while he was posting Falun Gong flyers. His home was ransacked on the morning of May 14, 2012. The police took away Falun Dafa materials.
11. [Xishui County, Hubei Province] Ms. Ma Deyun, Ms.Ma Xiaoliang and Mr. Ma Jin Ming Arrested
On the night of May 9, 2012, officers from the Xishui 610 Office went to Mapu Village, Nancheng Developing District and arrested Ms. Ma Deyun. They ransacked her home and took away cash, bank books, several computers and electric appliances. Ms. Ma Deyun was taken to the Wuhan Brainwashing Center. Her daughter Ms. Ma Xiaoliang was also taken away but her whereabouts are unknown.
Mr. Ma Jinming is a teacher at the Xishui Second High School. On May 12, 2012, the police confiscated two computers and tens of thousands of yuan in cash from his home. Mr. Ma was taken away. His whereabouts are unknown.
12. [Pingdu, Shandong Province] Ms. Li Jihua Arrested
Ms. Li Jihua from Zhuxi Village, Zhugou Town, Pingdu was taken away by Jiao Hengyu and others from the Zhugou Police Station while she was talking to people about Falun Gong at a farmer's market on the morning of May 21, 2012.
13. [Zhejiang Province] Ms. Li Min Sentenced
Ms. Li Min was a former employee at the Study Abroad Center of the Zhenjiang Provincial Human Resource Office. She was illegally sentenced to four years in prison. She is being detained in the the Third Division of the Zhejiang Provincial Women's Prison.
14. [Haiyang, Shandong Province] Ms. Liu Fumei Arrested
Ms. Liu Fumei from Guocheng Town was arrested recently because she distributed Falun Gong materials. She is being detained in the Haiyang Detention Center.
15. [Xiangfan, Hubei Province] Police Ransacked Homes of Ms. Zhou Yuhua and Other Practitioners
On May 11, 2012, domestic security officers from the Laohekou Police Department broke into the homes of Ms. Zhou Yuhua, Mr. Han Guocai, Ms. Wang Yun, Ms. Yang Mei and Ms. Hong Chunling. They took away Falun Dafa books, Falun Gong materials, computers, and other items.

16. [Heze, Shandong Province] Ms. Zheng Wenxia on a Hunger Strike to Protest Persecution
Ms. Zheng Wenxia, 51, was taken to the Heze Detention Center by officers from the Mudan District Domestic Security Division on April 22, 2012. She is on a hunger strike to protest the persecution.

17. [Wuhan, Hubei Province] Ms. Tian Chunfang, Ms. Li Jiulan and Granny Liu Arrested
On the morning of May 19, 2012, Ms. Tian Chunfang, Ms. Li Jiulan and Granny Liu from Hongshan District, Wuhan, went to send righteous thoughts at the entrance to the Hongshan Court. They were taken away by police and their homes were ransacked. The police took away their computers, money bills on which words about Falun Gong were written, and other items. Their whereabouts are unknown.
18. [Zaozhuang, Shandong Province] Mr. Zhang Jinghong Arrested
On the afternoon of May 21, 2012, Yuan Song, Zong Xihua and three other officers from the Taozhuang Town Police Station in Zaozhuang followed and arrested Mr. Zhang Jianghong.
19. [Panjin, Liaoning Province] Additional Information about the Arrest of Gong Guixin
On April 15, 2012, Mr. Gong Guixin was taken away from the restaurant he owns by Panjin domestic security officers. He was sent to the Panjin Third Detention Center.
20. [Panjin, Liaoning Province] Ms. Liu Yulan, Ms. Liang Guichun and Mr. Ji Zhenhui Sent to Forced Labor Camp
Ms. Liu Yulan from Panjin and Ms. Liang Guichun from Huludao were sent to the Masanjia Forced Labor Camp on May 17, 2012. Their terms are 18 and 15 months, respectively. Mr. Ji Zhenhui from Panjin was sent to the Benxi Forced Labor Camp for a term of over one year.
21. [Dalian, Liaoning Province] Ms. Liu Fengjuan Arrested
Ms. Liu Fengjuan was taken away by officers from the Haiqingdao Police Station in Dalian while she was talking to people about Falun Gong on May 9, 2012. She was sent to the Yaojia Detention Center in Dalian. Policeman Hua Dong ransacked her home on May 15, 2012 and took away a printer, DVD burner, bank book, Falun Dafa books, Master Li's pictures, Falun Gong materials, and other items.

22. [Helong County, Jilin Province] Ms. Sun Qingju Beaten and in Urgent Situation
Ms. Sun Qingju and five other Falun Gong practitioners from the Bajiazi Forestry Bureau, Helong were arrested on May 5, 2012. The detention center refused to accept Ms. Sun Qingju because of a bone fracture. However, she was beaten up and transferred to a brainwashing center located in the Xuesong Hotel of the Bajiazi Forestry Bureau. Ms. Sun was force-fed and beaten again. She is in an urgent situation. However, the guards still refuse to release her.
23. [Anshan, Liaoning Province] Ms. Luo Ying Arrested
Ms. Luo Ying is a teacher from Huayugaoxin School. She was taken away from her office by police from the Tiedong Police Department at noontime on May 21, 2012.

24. [Chengdu, Sichuan Province] Additional Information about the Arrests of Mr. Xiao Hongming and Ms. Yang Yan
On April 27, 2012, Mr. Xiao Hongming, 66, and Ms. Yang Yan, in her 40s, were arrested by police. They are being detained in the Chengdu Detention Center.
25. [Jilin Province] Ms. Sun Xiuxia and Others Persecuted at the Jilin Women's Prison
In February 2012, Ms. Sun Xiuxia was tied up with a rope by guards because she refused to write the “five statements” renouncing the practice of Falun Gong. She has been forced to sit on a small stool and is not allowed to move. Due to the long-term persecution, her health has declined severely and she is suffering from heart problems.
In March 2012, Ms. Song Yanqun was tied up with a rope by guards because she protested the persecution. She was also force-fed.
In 2011, Ms. Wu Hongyan was tied to a bed by collaborator Wang Xiufang because she shouted “Falun Dafa is good!” Wang stuffed her mouth with socks.
