Ms. Zhong Shulan Arrested at a Night Market

(Minghui.org) Around 10:00 p.m. on June 12, 2012, Ms. Zhong Shulan, a Falun Gong practitioner from Gaomi City, Shandong Province, was talking about Falun Gong to local people at a night market when she was reported to the police. Officers from the Xiguan Police Station arrested Ms. Zhong. They also arrested her brother Mr. Zhong Chongzeng and a friend Ms. Wang Yan at the same time. Mr. Zhong was visiting relatives in Gaomi City from out of town. Ms. Wang was also visiting her relatives from out of town. The police took the three practitioners to the Xiguan Police Station.

On the morning of June 13, several officers from the Xiguan police station ransacked Ms. Zhong Shulan’s home, where she lives alone. They confiscated many personal items, including a large yet unknown number of Falun Dafa books, a portrait of the founder of Falun Gong, a laptop computer, a printer, and a significant yet unknown amount of cash.

On the afternoon of June 13, the police took Ms. Zhong and the other two practitioners to the Gaomi City Detention Center.
