Additional Persecution News from China – June 8, 2012 (25 Reports)

(Minghui.org) Today's news from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 21 cities or counties in nine provinces. In this report, 19 Falun Gong practitioners were subjected to mistreatment during their detention, and at least 27 practitioners were illegally arrested.

1. [Jinzhou City, Liaoning Province] More about the Arrests of Nine Practitioners

Ten practitioners from Jinzhou City went to Cuiyan Township in Linghai City to hand out informational materials about Falun Gong on the evening of June 5, 2012. On their way back home in the evening, they were chased and intercepted by officers in two police vehicles. The police arrested Mr. Wang Lin, Ms. Guan Liqin, Ms. Shao Fengzhi, Ms. Wu Naihuan, Ms. Gu Lijuan, Ms. Yuan Zhihong, Ms. Li, Ms. Shen Xiaodan and Ms. Qin. One practitioner managed to escape. Mr. Wang Lin was taken to the Linghai Detention Center the other eight practitioners were taken to the No. 3 Affiliated Hospital of Jinzhou City and went through physical exams that evening. Seven of the practitioners were later taken to the Jinzhou City Detention Center and one to the Cuiyan Township Police Station.

2. [Shenyang City, Liaoning Province] Ms. Cao Suyan Arrested, Whereabouts Unknown

Ms. Cao Suyan, in her forties, is from Shaling, Yuhong District, Shenyang City. She was reported to the police and subsequently arrested after explaining the facts about Falun Gong in Shaling on June 6, 2012. Her whereabouts are unknown.

Mr. Zhao You from Xinfa Village, Sifeng Township, Jiamusi City was reported to the police for speaking about Falun Gong in the Township Government area on the afternoon of June 6, 2012. He was subsequently arrested by officers from the Jiaoqu Domestic Security Division.

Ms. Yin Shuping was arrested at her hair salon on the afternoon of June 7, 2012.

Mr. Ye Chunqiang and Ms. Ye Chunzhi were arrested on the evening of June 5, 2012.

Mr. You Guisheng was arrested at home on the afternoon of June 6, 2012.

7. [Fushuan City, Liaoning Province] Ms. Zhou Bo Sentenced to Four Years in Prison

Ms. Zhou Bo has been taken to the Dabei Prison in Shenyang for a term of four years.

8. [Huadian City, Jilin Province] Ms. Tian Zhenxiu and Other Practitioners Arrested

Wang and two other officers from the Shengli Police Station in Huadian City barged into Ms. Tian Zhenxiu's home on the evening of June 5, 2012. They ransacked her home and took her to Jilin City. Ms. Tian is 64 years old.

Mr. Li Shixin from Huadian City was arrested on the evening of June 5, 2012.

Ms. Lu Yuxiang from Huadian City was arrested on the morning of May 6, 2012, when four other families were also harassed.

9. [Chaoyang City, Liaoning Province] Ms. Yao Shumei, Ms. Hu Fengxiang and Ms. Xing Ying Arrested

Ms. Yao Shumei, Ms. Hu Fengxiang and Ms. Xing Ying were reported to the police for talking to people about Falun Gong in Wujiawa Village on May 31, 2012. They were subsequently arrested by three officers from the Qidaoquanzi Development Zone Police Department. Ms. Xing Ying tried to get away. Officers then sprayed an unidentified liquid into her eyes and when Ms. Xing rubbed her eyes, officers grabbed her arm and handcuffed her. The practitioners were taken to the Qidaoquanzi Development Zone Police Department, where they were individually interrogated and threatened. Officers also forced them to sign and fingerprint a document.

Officers brought Ms. Hu Fengxiang home in the afternoon. They broke in and ransacked her home. Ms. Yao Shumei was taken to the City Traditional Chinese Medicine Hospital in the evening. They measured her blood pressure, and forced her to have an electrocardiograph examination and a blood test.

Ms. Xing Ying was released around 11 p.m. after 500 yuan was extorted from her and her family signed a guarantee statement on her behalf. Ms. Hu Fengxiang was released at the same time, after 1,000 yuan was extorted and after her family also signed a guarantee statement on her behalf. Ms. Yao Shumei was taken to the Xidayingzi Detention Center but was not admitted because she failed the physical examination. The Qidaoquanzi Development Zone Police Department authorities then extorted 1,000 yuan from Ms. Yao's family and made them sign a guarantee statement on her behalf. They released Ms. Yao the next morning.

10. [Yichuan City, Heilongjiang Province] Ms. Wang Liwen, Just Released after Ten Years in Prison, Suffered Persecution Again

Ms. Wang Liwen from Jinshantun, Yichun City was released on April 20, 2012 after being persecuted in Harbin City Women's Prison for ten years. Four days after that, agents from the Jinshantun Political and Legal Affairs Committee barged into Ms. Wang's relative's home and deceived Ms. Wang into going to the Yichun Brainwashing Center. Ms. Wang developed symptoms of high blood pressure during the process and was thus not admitted to the brainwashing center. Agents had to release Ms. Wang. However, they kept monitoring and following her. Within a month, Ms. Wang developed symptoms of fluid in the chest and has been hospitalized for over 20 days.

11. [Shenyang City, Liaoning Province] Officers from Magang Police Station Broke into Home of Mr. Wang Yongli in Arrest Attempt; Mr. Li Guiwen's Whereabouts Unknown

Over ten officers broke the window and barged into the home of Mr. Wang Yongli in Magang Township, Shenbei New District, Shenyang City on the evening of June 7, 2012 in an attempt to arrest Mr. Wang, his wife and his father-in-law Mr. Li Guiwen. Mr. Wang and his wife managed to escape. Mr. Wang's father-in-law was probably arrested. Officers are still watching the house and waiting for the chance of arrest the couple.

12. [Changchun City, Jilin Province] Agents from Xisantiao Police Station and Community Committee Persecuting Practitioners

Authorities from the Xisantiao Police Station in Changchun City sent agents from a local community committee to Ms. Wang Jilan's home who tried to force her to sign a “Card of Promise” [renouncing Falun Gong]. She refused to sign.

Officers from the Xisantiao Police Station have been participating in the persecution of practitioners over the past 13 years. The following practitioners have been subjected to persecution:

Ms. Yang Huimin was sentenced to eight years in prison.

Ms. Wang Jian and Mr. Zhao Jian were both arrested in March, 2002. They are still being persecuted in Jilin Province Women's Prison and the Jilin Prison, respectively. Ms. Wang Jian is still being tortured by cruel means.

Ms. An Fengxiang was arrested and held in custody or forced labor camps many times. She was once almost persecuted to death.

Ms. Man Qiuju had to stay away from her home for ten years to avoid arrest. Her family members were also harassed many times.

Ms. Lian Yuzhu, Ms. Liu Yufeng, Mr. Li Jinrong, Ms. Wang Dianzhi and Ms. Jing Shuhua were all persecuted by officers from the Xisantiao Police Station.

13. [Liaoyang City, Liaoning Province] Ms. Liu Lihua Arrested

Mr. Liu Lihua was arrested on June 6, 2012. Her whereabouts are unknown.

14. [Jilin City, Jilin Province] More on the Recent Arrests of Practitioners

Officers from the Shanqian Police Station in Jilin City barged into Mr. Nie Jun's home and took him to the Jilin City Detention Center on the evening of May 29, 2012.

Liu Zhenxiang and over ten officers from the Hadawan Police Station in Jilin City barged into Mr. Guo Shijie's and Ms. Zhang Shuyun's homes in the Concrete Factory Residential Area on the evening of May 29, 2012. After ransacking their homes, the police took Mr. Guo Shijie to the Jilin City Detention Center and held him there for five days.

15. [Wendeng City, Shandong Province] Ms. Zhao Jinxiang Harassed

Three agents from the Bukougang Committee of Wendeng City and officers from the local police station went to Ms. Zhao Jinxiang's home on June 6, 2012 to harass her. Ms. Zhao was not at home at the time. Several agents drove to Ms. Zhao's home again in the afternoon, but left when they found out that Ms. Zhao was still not home.

Ms. Zhao has been detained, fined and sent to forced labor camps many times over the past 13 years of persecution. She was also often followed and monitored by officers from the local police station and agents hired by the police, and her family was also often harassed.

16. [Chifeng City, Inner Mongolia] Mr. Wu Yonggang Arrested

Mr. Wu Yonggang was arrested by agents from the local 610 Office and police department.

17. [Huaian City, Jiangsu Province] Mr. Zuo Kangwei Arrested

Mr. Zuo Kangwei from Huaian City was arrested on his way home from work on the evening of June 5, 2012.

A group of agents including Zhao Yandong from the Huaian City 610 Office and officers from the Qingpu Police Department Domestic Security Division barged into Mr. Zuo Kangwei's home on the evening of June 6, 2012. They ransacked his home and took a laptop computer, a desktop computer, a DVD burner, DVDs, an Epson inkjet printer, ink cartridges, Falun Gong books and printing paper.

18. [Xiyang County, Shanxi Province] Ms. Wang Guohui Arrested

Ms. Wang Guohui from Xiyang County, Jinzhong City was reported to police for handing out informational materials about Falun Gong in Zhaobi Township, Xiyang County on the afternoon of June 3, 2012. She was subsequently taken to a prison or forced labor camp in Jinzhong City and her home was ransacked.

19. [Nantong City, Jiangsu Province] Ms. Cai Mingfang, Ms. Wang Shensu and Ms. Zheng Cuifang Arrested

Ms. Cai Mingfang from Nantong City was arrested by officers from the Hongqiao Police Station on the morning of June 6, 2012.

Ms. Wang Shensu from the Waitan Residential Quarters was arrested at home by officers from the Rengang Police Station on the evening of June 4, 2012. She has not been released yet.

Ms. Zheng Cuifang from Nantong City was arrested at the Nantong Train Station on the morning of June 3, 2012.

20. [Beijing] Mr. Gu Baoliang Arrested

Mr. Gu Baoling from Shayugou Village, Mujiayu Town, Miyun County, Beijing was reported to the police for explaining the facts about Falun Gong and was arrested by officers from the Miyun Domestic Security Division and the Jugezhuang Police Station. His home was also ransacked.

21. [Shucheng County, Anhui Province] Ms. Cha Mingying Disappeared on June 1, 2012

Ms. Cha Mingying went missing on June 1, 2012. It was said that she was arrested by agents from the Liuan City 610 Office.

22. [Wuhan City, Hubei Province] Ms. Lei Zuying Taken to Yangyuan Brainwashing Center

Ms. Lei Zuying from Shuiguohu, Wuchang District, Wuhan City was arrested at her workplace by officers from the Shuiguohu No. 1 Police Station on the morning of June 7, 2012. She was taken to the Yangyuan Brainwashing Center in Wuchang. Authorities from the Hongshanlu Neighborhood Committee in Shuiguohu, Wuchang called Ms. Lei's family later and asked them to bring her daily necessities that afternoon.

23. [Huili County, Sichuan Province] Mr. Zhang Zhengyou and Five Other Practitioners Arrested

Mr. Zhang Zhengyou and his wife Ms. Jiang Deyuan live at Youzheng Street. Agents from the Huili County Domestic Security Division and the Chengnan Police Station arrested the couple and four other practitioners who were studying Falun Gong in the couple's home on the morning of June 6, 2012. Two elderly practitioners, both over 65, were released in the afternoon. The rest were taken to a detention center.

24. [Chongqing] Ms. Wang Ya Sent to Forced Labor Camp

Ms. Wang Ya from Chongqing was arrested on May 4, 2012 and was held in the Jiangbei District Detention Center. Ms. Wang was sentenced to two years of forced labor and was probably taken to the Dazhulin Forced Labor Camp in Chongqing. This is the third time that Ms. Wang has been sent to a forced labor camp.

25. [Liaocheng City, Shandong Province] Ms. Shen Changrong Arrested

Ms. Shen Changrong, over 70, is from Beiguan Village, Xincheng Place, Donga County, Liaocheng City. She was arrested by officers from the Xincheng Police Station in Donga County for handing out informational materials about Falun Gong on June 6, 2012. Ms. Shen is being held in the Guguantun Detention Center.
