(Minghui.org) Falun Gong practitioner Mr. Shao Shixiang, 60, was employed at the Fluoride Salt Factory of Baiyin Company in Baiyin City. He was severely tortured and passed away on February 22, 2012.

Mr. Shao Shixiang spoke with people about Falun Gong and the persecution outside Dashaping Prison in Lanzhou City in February 2012. Lanzhou police arrested him and took him to the Baiyin Police Department and then sent him to the Baiyin Detention Center. The police officers brutally beat him to the point that his entire body was covered with cuts and bruises. He was later taken to the Psychiatric Department of the Baiyin Company Workers' Hospital, where he was given eight injections of unknown substances. Afterwards, Mr. Shao became delirious and was unable to speak.

When he was in critical condition, Mr. Shao was sent home. He was unconscious and unable to move. His entire body was covered with bruises. He was emaciated and his already frail physical condition kept worsening. Less than one month after being released, he passed away on February 22, 2012.
