(Minghui.org) Today's news from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 23 cities or counties in 12 provinces. In this report, 4 practitioners were subjected to mistreatment during their detention and at least 42 practitioners were illegally arrested.

On April 15, 2012, Ms. Liang Qizhen and Ms. Chen Yufeng, from Diaobingshan, Liaoning Province, were arrested at Ms. Chen Yufeng's home. Ms. Liang is currently being held at the Shenyang City Detention Center.

On May 22, 2012, Ms. Pan from the Jinshantun District, Yichun City, was arrested by officers from the Tuanjie Police Station. Her home was ransacked, and that afternoon she developed high blood pressure.

3. [Changchun City, Jilin Province] Mr. Gu Xirong and Ms. Zang Arrested

On May 16, 2012, when Mr. Gu Xirong and Ms. Zang, from Changchun City were clarifying the truth in the Luyuan District, they were arrested by officers from the Puyang Street Police Station. They are currently being held at the Weizigou Forced Labor Camp.

4. [Bozhou City, Anhui Province] Mr. Chen Wenrong Arrested

On the afternoon of May 18, 2012, Mr. Chen Wenrong, from Shuanggouji, Bozhou City, was arrested by officers form the Bozhou City 610 Office when he was at home. He is currently being held at a detention center.

5. [Anxin County, Hebei Province] Ms. Gezi and Ms. Huimin Arrested

On the morning of May 21, 2012, Ms. Ge Zi and Ms. Hui Min, from Guzhuangtou Village, Xiong County, were arrested by officers from the Zhaobeikou Town Police Station, Anxin County when they were clarifying the truth in Lin County and Anxin County. In the afternoon, they were transferred to the Anxin County Detention Center.

6. [Yuexi County, Sichuan Province] Ms. Wu Shilian Arrested

On May 22, 2012, Ms. Wu Shilian, a practitioner from Yuexi County, Liangshan Prefecture, Sichuan Province, was arrested by officers from the Yuexi County Police Department, when she went to Banqiao Township to clarify the truth. Her home was ransacked, and the officers confiscated DVDs and truth-clarifying materials.

7. [Bozhou City, Anhui Province] Additional Information on Many Practitioners

On the afternoon of May 13, 2012, 15 practitioners were arrested near the No. 5 Middle School. That night 12 practitioners were released. Mr. Wang Yusheng, Ms. Chen Xiangzhi and Mr. Rong Guangming are currently being held at a detention center.

Mr. Chen Fa, Mr. Jiao Maoxin and Mr. Li Hailiang who were previously arrested, are also being held at a detention center.

8. [Huangshi City, Hebei Province] Ms. Peng Wenling Arrested

At the beginning of May 2012, Ms. Peng Wenling, a practitioner from Huangshi City, was arrested when she was clarifying the truth in Luotian County, her hometown. She is currently being held at the Luotian County Second Detention Center.

9. [Anshan City, Liaoning Province] Ms. Zhang Xuefen Arrested

Ms. Zhang Xuefen, deputy director of the Party Document Bureau, Tiedong District, is in her 60s. At the end of 2011, she was arrested when she went to the Changdian Senior Center to clarify the truth. She was later secretly sentenced to three years in prison. Her whereabouts are unknown.

10. [Hangzhou City, Zhejiang Province] Ms. Lou Qinnan Arrested

On May 21, 2012, Ms. Lou Qinnan, a practitioner from Xiaoshan District, Hangzhou City was arrested. Her satellite receiver was confiscated.

11. [Dalian City, Liaoning Province] Mr. Liu Dexi Arrested

Mr. Liu Dexi, from Sanshilibao, Puwanxin District, was reported when he was distributing truth-clarifying materials on the afternoon of May 22, 2012. He was arrested by officers from the Sanshilibao Police Station. He is now being held at the Sanli Detention Center, Jinzhou District.

12. [Jinan City, Shandong Province] Ms. Zeng Lanfang Arrested

On the afternoon of May 21, 2012, when Ms. Zeng Lanfang was clarifying the truth at the botanical gardens, she was arrested by officers from the Qianfoshan Police Station. Her home was ransacked, and Dafa books, Master's photo, and truth-clarifying DVDs were confiscated. At 9:00 p.m., she was taken to a detention center. When she had a physical examination, her blood pressure was too high so she was released.

13. [Dandong City, Liaoning Province] Ms. Wang Xuemei and Ms. Wang Xuejie and Her Husband Arrested

Officers from the Taoyuan Street Police Station, Zhenxing District, Dandong City, Liaoning Province, forcefully entered into Ms. Wang Xuemei's home on May 23, 2012. They arrested Ms. Wang Xuemei and her sister Ms. Wang Xuejie as well as Xuejie's husband. They forcefully removed their satellite dish.

14. [Changtu County, Liaoning Province] Ms. Chen Lianrong and Other Practitioners Arrested

 

Practitioners Ms. Chen Lianrong, Ms. Chen Lianqing, Ms. Guan Yuzhi, Ms. Zhang Shuhua and other practitioners in Changtu County, Liaoning Province, were recently arrested by officers from the local police station when they were clarifying the truth in the Mazhonghe region.

15. [Xi'an City, Shaanxi Province] Ms. Zhang Lianrui Arrested at Home on the Afternoon of May 23, 2012

16. [Beijing] Ms. Xiao Lianying and Other Practitioners Arrested

On the morning of May 22, 2012, Qian Baoqiu, from Xindian Police Station, Fengtai Police Department, Beijing, forcefully entered Ms. Xiao Lianying's home and arrested her and other practitioners, including Ms. Liu, a senior practitioner, Ms. Li Lirong, Ms. Zhang Guihua, and Ms. Zhao Yuwen. They were taken to the Changxindian Police Station to be interrogated.

17. [Guan County, Shandong Province] Ms. Si Fengying in Her 70s, Arrested on the Afternoon of May 23, 2012

18. [Beijing] Additional Information on Mr. Gao Jianming

Mr. Gao Jianming, from Daxing District, Beijing, was sentenced to forced labor on March 19, 2012. On April 19, 2012, he was transferred to the Xin'an Forced Labor Camp in Beijing, where he is currently being held.

19. [Mengyin County, Shandong Province] Practitioner Ms. Wang Xiuqin of Laishiwan Village, Tanbu Town, Arrested

20. [Chifeng City, Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region] Four Practitioners Including Ms. Liu Shulan Arrested

On May 22, 2012, practitioners from three families in the Hongshan District, Chifeng City including Ms. Liu Yulan, in her 50s; Ms. Yang, in her 40s, first name unknown; Ms. Pu, in her 60s, first name unknown; and Ms. Wu, in her 60s, were arrested.

21. [Weifang City, Shandong Province] Mr. Yang Chunsen Arrested

On the morning of May 22, 2012, officers from the Hanting District Domestic Security Division arrested Mr. Yang Chunsen as he was about to go to work. They ransacked his home and confiscated a computer, a smart phone, Dafa books, and truth clarifying DVDs and materials.

22. [Jincheng City, Shanxi Province] Additional Information on Ms. Hu Zhongqin

When Ms. Hu Zhongqin took her granddaughter to kindergarten and then returned home, she found a woman who had trouble walking, so she told the woman to say “Falun Dafa is good, Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance is good.” She was reported and arrested by officers from the Jincheng City Police Department, Downtown Domestic Security Division, Zhongjiazhuang Police Station. Her Dafa books were taken away, and she is currently being held at the Jincheng City Detention Center.

23. [Baoding City, Hebei Province] Ms. Liu Huiyun and Ms. Jingfang Arrested

Ms. Liu Huiyun and Ms. Jingfang, from the Shunping County, Baoding City, were arrested when they were distributing truth-clarifying materials on the afternoon of May 18, 2012. They confiscated Dafa books, a computer and other items.

24. [Miyi County, Sichuan Province] Ms. Zhou Guoxian Arrested

On May 8, 2012, Ms. Yang Zihua, from the Miyi County Domestic Security Division, and two other police officers arrested Ms. Zhou Guoxian, from the No. 3 Division, Binggu, Miyi County and ransacked her home. They confiscated a copy of Zhuan Falun, Hong Yin III, another Dafa book, truth-clarifying materials, and an MP3 player.

25. [Hengyang City, Hunan Province] Ms. Tang and Ms. Zeng Arrested

On May 20, 2012, Ms. Tang and Ms. Zeng, from Hengyang City, were arrested by officers from the Hongshi Police Station when they were distributing Shen Yun DVDs to people in Hongshi Town, Hengyang County. They are now being held at the Hengyang County Detention Center.
