(Minghui.org) I am a new practitioner who obtained the Fa in the end of 2010. I am a senior in college. I feel so fortunate to have obtained the Fa and I would like to share my experience of obtaining the Fa and cultivation to show the beauty of Dafa.
I grew up in the countryside where I witnessed many phenomena that science could not explain. I thought those things were quite doubtful since I was influenced by my formal, Party-directed education. Brainwashed by the Chinese Communist Party's atheist ideology, I used to be very addicted to material things. However, I was always searching for the real meaning of life and how those magical things happened, which led me onto a path to find the truth.
In my sophomore year, I tried to prove the existence of supernatural things. I was exposed to human science and supernormal capabilities, which science could not possibly explain, yet they physically existed. However, this research did not give me a clear answer and only made me more confused.
In the first semester of my junior year, a new teacher gave me hope. He was very polite and nice. During class time, he taught us traditional Chinese culture and told us to learn to distinguish between good and bad, virtue and vice. I was very interested in the way he taught and went to talk to him. He gave me Internet software to help me to break through the firewall and visit whatever websites I liked. There, I saw the truth, which I had been prevented from knowing since I was in elementary school. I thought this teacher was very righteous and not an ordinary person.
He also taught us about the many lies the Communist Party used to deceive people, such as the Tiananmen Massacre and the staged Self-immolation at Tiananmen Square. He told us to rationally tell right from wrong. About 100 of us listened to him.
Later on, after talking with the teacher for two hours, I completely understood that the Chinese Communist Party has been committing evil deeds, especially the persecution of Falun Gong practitioners. I immediately agreed to quit the Chinese Communist Party and its affiliated organizations.
However, I still did not understand the real meaning of life. I only knew that Falun Gong was a good practice that taught practitioners to be good people. I did not read Zhuan Falun. Several months passed before I sent the teacher an email and told him that I would like to cultivate but could not find a Master. The teacher replied to my email, and I was suddenly enlightened that the truth was right in front of me, but I had not recognized it!
I started to read Zhuan Falun, and every time I put it down, I stood up and had to take a walk, because I was very excited. My mind and body were in ultimate bliss, and I had no words to describe it. All the different questions that had confused me were all resolved in Zhuan Falun. I sincerely thanked my teacher who had helped me.
That is how I started my cultivation practice! After a year, I underwent dramatic changes both mentally and physically. The happiness I gained could not be expressed in words. My stomachache and bad habits disappeared, and my xinxing level improved. I knew how to be a good person and no longer fought for personal gain. I became more tolerant and learned to be a selfless person according to the principles of Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance.
My roommates said that I had changed and become more upright. There used to be some misunderstanding between my family and me, but that all disappeared. My academic career did not suffer, instead, it blossomed. Another classmate also obtained the Fa after learning the truth. Some classmates also understood the facts about Falun Gong and agreed to quit the Chinese Communist Party and its affiliated organizations. One day after I had gotten over a tribulation, there were 21 Udumbara flowers blossoming on my seat in the classroom, and Master arranged for me to find them. I was very excited. Master is encouraging me and taking care of me at every moment.
Thank you, Master. You led me onto a righteous path and take care of me every minute. You also suffered many hardships for me. Only by being more diligent in my cultivation and doing the three things rationally and maturely can I live up to your salvation.
