(Minghui.org) I started practicing Falun Gong in 1998. After many trials and tribulations, I have cultivated diligently with Master's compassionate protection. I witnessed many times the extraordinary power of Falun Dafa and Master's mercy and greatness. Recently, I had a serious car accident. My experience allowed more people to witness the miracles of Dafa and Master’s greatness. They said “Falun Dafa is good” from their hearts.
How Great Falun Dafa Is
After 8:00 a.m. on June 27, 2012, I was hit by a taxi at an intersection. With a loud "boom", my motorcycle was knocked a few meters away, and I was thrown to the ground. People witnessing the scene said, “The person must be dead.” When I realized what happened, I thought, “I am a Dafa practitioner. I will be fine with Master’s protection.” I denied the arrangements of the old forces from my heart. I wanted to stand up but was not able to. The taxi driver was so scared that he could not get out of his car. After a while, he came over and said, “Let’s go to the hospital.” I responded, “I am fine. You can send me home.” He tried to help me stand up, but I fell down three times while trying to move. Then I noticed my right ankle was bleeding, and my socks were soaked with blood. The bone of my ankle protruded out. I didn’t give it any more thought and pressed the protruding bone back in. When the driver saw this, he called the ambulance and sent me to the hospital. The X-ray revealed the fracture and dislocation of my right fibula, fracture of the tibia, and rupture of my heel tendon. Later, I learned that the handlebars of my motorcycle were twisted, the bumper was broken, and the gas tank had a large dent. The crash caused a large hole in the front bumper of the taxi. I realized that the accident was there to take my life. I would probably have died without Master’s protection. I thank Master from my heart!
If I Were Hospitalized, the Driver Would Not be Able to Pay the Bills in a Lifetime
I wanted to go home immediately after the X-ray exam, but the taxi driver begged me to stay in the hospital for at least one day. Because the police would come at 8:00 a.m. the next day to record the case, if I went home, the case could not be resolved (the taxi was impounded after the accident, and his insurance company was involved). In this case, I agreed to stay at the hospital for one day for the sake of the driver. The doctor operated immediately and installed five pins and two steel plates in my legs. After the police came to record the case the next morning, I was discharged. I did not take any injections or medications at home.
The hospital required us to pay a deposit when I checked in. The driver paid 9000 yuan, and my family members paid 3700 yuan. When I was discharged, I told the driver, “Don’t worry about the money I paid.” The driver was moved and said, “If you stayed in the hospital for one month, I would not be able to afford the bill in my lifetime.”
A Police Officer Said “Falun Gong and Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance are good!”
The driver retrieved his car on the third day after the accident. We went to the police station to deal with the accident on the twelfth day. The officer in charge saw the driver carrying me on his back. He asked how much compensation I requested. I replied, “You don’t have to mediate this accident. I won’t ask the driver to pay me for the amount I paid to the hospital. ” I went on to clarify the truth and tell them about the greatness of Falun Dafa. After he knew the facts, he renounced his CCP membership right away. He gave a thumbs-up and declared, "Falun Gong and Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance are good!" After he examined my injured leg, he said, “It is really a miracle. The entire society would improve if all Chinese people practiced Falun Gong.“ Almost moved to tears, the driver said, “If even a man in police uniform says Falun Gong is great, it really must be great!” In this way, without any mediation or compensation by the driver, the accident was resolved.
Surgeon Says Thank You Six Times after Quitting the CCP
On the eighth day after the surgery, the driver went to the hospital to pick up my medical records for reimbursement of hospital expenses. The surgeon asked about my condition. The driver said, “He is fine now. “ The surgeon asked, “Did he take injections and medication at home?” The driver said, “No, neither.“ The surgeon did not believe it, so he called me himself to confirm. He finally said, “Don’t walk for two and a half months.“ I replied, “Don’t worry, I will be fine.“ Strangely enough, the driver did not obtain my records. The hospital found records for all the other patients but could not find mine.
On July 17th, the driver drove me to the hospital to sign records they had filled out to replace the missing copy. I walked from my home to his car. At the hospital, when the surgeon saw me walking toward him myself, he was scared and asked my family members to help me. The surgeon then asked me to take a seat in his office. I thanked him and said, “I am fine. “ I took off my socks and let him examine my injuries. It took me just 20 days to be able to walk again. He felt it was incredible and amazing. I then told him the facts about Falun Gong. He quit the CCP immediately after learning the truth and said “thank you” six times.
The Driver Spreads the Facts of Falun Gong and Saves People
During this whole period, I behaved according to the requirements of Dafa. As a practitioner, I always considered the driver first. The driver witnessed the miracles and greatness of Dafa and Master from my behaviour. After he knew the truth of Falun Gong, his whole family quit the CCP. He also told the story to his coworkers and friends. In about twenty days, he told the truth of Falun Gong to 36 drivers, distributed 32 Shen Yun DVDs, and gave out 10 copies of software to break through the CCP's internet blockade. He also told the facts of Falun Gong to his passengers and gave them copies of Nine Commentaries on the Communist Party and truth-clarification materials. I was so happy for his compassionate deeds.
From Misunderstanding to Admiration
My relatives, friends, and neighbors came to visit me after hearing about my car accident. After finding out how I handled the accident, they called me stupid and said I should demand that the driver pay for my medical expenses, loss of income, caregiver expenses, costs to take out the plates, and so on, with the justification that the insurance company would pay for the expenses. I did not listen to them. Some of them were so angry that they did not want to talk to me again. It was like what Master said in Zhuan Falun: “But, people are like this today. If he were not exploited, even the bystanders would find it unfair.”
After twenty days, when my friends, relatives, and neighbors saw that I had recovered without taking medications, their attitudes changed. They all admire Falun Dafa now. They said, “Falun Dafa is good! It is a miracle that you recovered without taking medications.” Falun Gong practitioners are all good people. They repair the road voluntarily and clear the snow in the winter. Who else in our village does this? Falun Dafa is good!”
