(Minghui.org) Master's commentary on the Minghui.org Editorial article, “Are You a Cultivator?” and the issues stated in the article serve as a reminder for every practitioner. It also begs the question that every one of us should think deeply about. Why, when Fa-rectification has proceeded up to today, does the evil still dare to attack the Minghui website unscrupulously? Moreover, why are there even some practitioners participating in it? Are we truly looking at the Minghui website from Master's and the Fa-rectification standpoint? Are we truly protecting and harmonizing with the Minghui website from the Fa-rectification cultivation perspective?
Minghui.org is a Credible Website that Master Established for Dafa Disciples
Different than any other media, Minghui.org is a credible website that Master established for Dafa disciples around the entire world during the tribulations, especially Dafa disciples in China. The Dafa disciples who walked from the most evil period of the persecution should still remember that fake lectures that poisoned practitioners were spread feverishly during those years of evil persecution. However, when practitioners were facing significant challenges, Master could not speak to them. In order to establish Minghui.org as a credible website, Master published his photograph, “Master Li quietly watching the world from amidst the mountains,” on the website on January 19, 2000. That was the first time that Dafa disciples received accurate information about Master since the Chinese Communist Party launched the persecution in July 1999. On May 22, 2000 Master published his first lecture after July 20, 1999, “The Knowing Heart.” On June 15 of the same year, Master made an announcement to all Dafa practitioners in the world. Master said,
"It is not that Minghui Net does not make mistakes, however, on important matters, practitioners must pay attention to the attitude of Minghui Net. The purpose of posting my photo and the article 'The Knowing Heart' on Minghui Net was to build a trustworthy website for practitioners." (Minghui Editorial Board's June 15, 2000 article, "A Second Authentic New Article of Master Li Since July 22, 1999 Will Be Published in a Few Days")
Since the evil persecution started, Master's new lectures have been published only on Minghui.org. The other websites established by Dafa disciples can only reprint the lectures. During the past decade Master has been paying close attention to Minghui's operation and guiding Minghui's direction,
“Teacher cares very much about all kinds of Dafa websites, especially Minghui Net maintained by practitioners in North America. Should any inappropriate content be posted on Minghui Net, Teacher will help correct it.” ("A Second Authentic New Article of Master Li Since July 22, 1999 Will Be Published in a Few Days")
Minghui.org embodies Master's painstaking work.
Minghui.org Is Irreplaceable in Fa-rectification
Master also told us,
“From the day it was set up it was firmly established as a vehicle for Dafa disciples’ cultivation and their sharing of experiences, and meant to report on the persecution of Dafa disciples in a timely manner.” (“Fa Teaching Given at the Fa Conference Marking the Tenth Anniversary of the Minghui Website's Founding”)
With Master's guidance and protection, during the past decade, the Minghui website has played a significant role in exposing the evil, assisting Master in Fa-rectification, and saving sentient beings.
The Minghui website has established a unique way of communicating with practitioners in China, and has always delivered first-hand information on the persecution situation of practitioners in China. It effectively exposes the evil persecution of Dafa disciples and suppresses the evil. The website also provides a unique cultivation platform for practitioners around the world. Dafa disciples from around the world can share their cultivation experiences on this platform, from Fa-study and cultivating xinxing, to clarifying the truth, from the establishment of material production sites, to technological security. Its content includes every aspect of Fa-rectification cultivation. The articles over time on Minghui.org communicate the progress of Fa-rectification, the things practitioners should be doing during each period of time, and how practitioners should look at different issues. It effectively stabilizes the situation of spreading the Fa. In the following three quotes from “Fa Teaching Given at the Fa Conference Marking the Tenth Anniversary of the Minghui Website's Founding,” Master conveyed that the Minghui website is irreplaceable:
“It can be said that among the websites that Dafa disciples run, this is a crucial one.”
“...Minghui has made it through to today. In terms of the role it has played, it has powerfully exposed the evil’s persecution, especially in recent years. Since the time when the persecution began, it has furthermore provided a true picture of the cultivation state of Dafa disciples in a timely manner, and served as a point of connection among students. Students everywhere—be it in the mainland, outside China, or wherever it may be—can share experiences via the Minghui website. By giving Dafa disciples a channel such as this in their cultivation, each is able to promptly learn the overall situation of Dafa disciples’ cultivation; and the site serves as an indirect means of communication as well...”
“If one of the other media outlets were to cease to exist, there would be others to do its job. But if Minghui were not around, no other media outlet could replace it. That's why I say that not only does Minghui have to continue, but it has to be run well.”
Maintain a Positive View of the Minghui Website
Master said,
“Then as Dafa disciples, you must have a positive view of Minghui, regardless of whatever ordinary people may think. There are some who don't see Minghui in a positive light, and I would say they've got a problem.” (“Fa Teaching Given at the Fa Conference Marking the Tenth Anniversary of the Minghui Website's Founding”)
As Dafa disciples, whether we can follow Master's requirements to maintain a positive view of Minghui is also a test of our level of believing in Master and the Fa.
On Important Matters, Practitioners Must Pay Attention to Their Attitude of Minghui.org
“Teacher said, 'It is not that Minghui Net does not make mistakes, however, on important matters, practitioners must pay attention to the attitude of Minghui Net.'” ("A Second Authentic New Article of Master Li Since July 22, 1999 Will Be Published in a Few Days")
What kinds of matter are considered important? Master has repeatedly advised us in His lectures to do well the three things, sending forth righteous thoughts, studying the Fa well, and clarifying the truth to save sentient beings. Of everything we do, these three things are most important. For example, in studying the Fa, we must study Master's new lectures published on the Minghui website. Any other “lectures” that are not the same as those posted on Minghui.org are fake, and are undermining the Fa. Another example is sending forth righteous thoughts. Minghui.org stated that practitioners should send forth righteous thoughts during the four global times every day. This is considered an important matter. Anything contradictory to that is considered undermining the Fa. In regards to clarifying the truth to save sentient beings, during the past several years Minghui.org has offered different varieties of truth-clarifying materials with rich content. The presentation is also very professional and nice-looking. Regarding the establishment of materials sites, the Minghui website also presented the model of establishing small-scale materials sites “like flowers blossoming everywhere” through one-to-one connections with Minghui.org. It also published a high volume of articles related to establishing, maintaining, and safely operating materials sites. We should follow all of these as part of our Fa-rectification cultivation.
The situation of Fa-rectification will vary in its different periods. The Minghui website likewise adjusts its focus and direction based on changes in Fa-rectification. We should understand this and follow accordingly. We should clearly maintain a correct view of Minghui.org and recognize the evil's attack on the website, and its undermining effect on practitioners.
Maintain a Positive View of Articles on Minghui.org
“The ClearWisdom website runs positive articles that are truly in accordance with the requirements and that provide guidance on how cultivators should inform people of the truth and regard the Fa correctly amidst the current circumstances.” (The Minghui Editorial Board's December 2, 2000 article, “Eliminate Evil”)
During Fa-rectification cultivation in the past decade, Minghui has followed Master's requirements and established a great communication platform for practitioners around the world. Besides publishing overseas practitioners' experience sharing articles, and during the past several years organizing an Internet Fa conference annually for practitioners in China, the Minghui website publishes experience sharing articles from practitioners around the world every day. Every carefully picked article records the path of practitioners walking from humanness to godhood with the guidance of Dafa. It also reflects the cultivation state of all practitioners as one-body. It facilitates practitioners improving together. Practitioners who read Minghui articles often feel that the sharing deepens our understanding of the Fa, and in the meantime, it also trains us. Many times, when I faced challenges and puzzles, I went to Minghui.org and read practitioners' sharing articles, and found my heart was full of compassion and mercy, and I found answers to my questions. Reading Minghui articles often increases practitioners' righteous thoughts, increases practitioners' will to cultivate diligently, and eliminates human notions to help us save more sentient beings. Those practitioners who have been steadfastly walking on the path of Fa-rectification are all loyal readers and supporters of Minghui.org.
Master also has given confirmation of reading Minghui.org's experience sharing articles:
“Study the Fa more, and take a look at some of the articles on Clearwisdom that students publish to share with each other. They are truly wonderful, and indeed very mature. Some of the articles were really well written. Compare yourselves with those and see where you fall short.” (“Teaching the Fa in San Francisco, 2005”)
Maintain a Positive View of Minghui Articles that Have a Point of View that Is Different from Yours
Minghui articles are about practitioners sharing their experiences. It is unavoidable that some articles might not reflect a full understanding of the Fa, or that practitioners have differing points of view of the Fa. This is normal. Regardless of how high the cultivation level of a practitioner is, he or she cannot see the ultimate principles of the universe and what the ultimate Fa is. Regardless of how high his or her current level is, there is always a higher level and higher principles of the Fa than what he/she has enlightened to. Master has clearly taught us,
“...there are different Dharma at different levels, and that the Dharma at each level is not the absolute truth of the universe. Yet the Dharma at a given level assumes a guiding role at that level.” (“Lecture One” in Zhuan Falun)
As practitioners who are truly cultivating in the Fa, reading the Minghui.org articles gives us advice in the areas where other practitioners do well. In the meantime, we can compare our own actions and thoughts to eliminate our shortcomings and improve. When we see anything inappropriate in practitioners' points of view, we should share it with Minghui.org editors with a kind heart. When our opinions or articles are not accepted, we should not overlook the opportunity to improve and raise our understanding from the Fa's standpoint. Is it because the point of view is not in line with the Fa's standards, or is it because when the article was written, the practitioner's heart was not completely pure, etc. We need to treat this as an opportunity and a motivation to improve.
When a Minghui article is not in line with one's own point of view or because one's article was not accepted, if one develops resentment and complaints or even stands on the opposite side to attack Minghui, these are all incorrect states, and these practitioners would be taken advantage of by the evil and become tools for the evil.
“Some students have, throughout the course of their cultivation, always looked outward, sought external solutions, and looked for things outwardly, focusing on things such as how others are not treating them well, saying displeasing things, acting too much like ordinary people, always being hard on them, or never accepting their ideas. As a result, you have stopped doing anything that Dafa disciples do to validate the Fa, and have even stopped cultivating in a fit of anger. Do you really not realize for whom you are cultivating? Do you really not understand that those unpleasant things are helping you to cultivate, remove your human thoughts, and get rid of your attachments?” (“To the European Fa Conference”)
As Dafa practitioners, regardless of what situation we face, we should always remember Master's Fa and search within, without any conditions, so we can improve from the Fa's perspective. This is the only path of returning to our lives' origin.
It Is Dafa Disciples' Responsibility to Support, Protect, and Harmonize with the Minghui Website
Master has made several comments on these issues,
“The Minghui website's role in clarifying the truth is irreplaceable. It's the most important window through which we get the truth out about the persecution and the overall situation of Dafa and Dafa disciples' validating the Fa. When it comes to the things of Dafa disciples, you should always cooperate with each other and work well together.” (“Teaching the Fa at the 2004 Western U.S. Fa Conference”)
“So no matter what, you need to do an even better job of running the site, and pay special attention to security—to keeping things secret from the evil.” (“Fa Teaching Given at the Fa Conference Marking the Tenth Anniversary of the Minghui Website's Founding”)
“...what Master wants done is in fact what is required by the Fa’s rectification of an incalculable number of cosmic bodies.”
“If you, as my student, truly want to “help Master rectify the Fa,” then you should concern yourself only with how to best fulfill what Master wants. This alone is what you should be doing...” (Both quotes from “What Does it Mean to 'Help Master Rectify the Fa'?” in 2011)
As Dafa disciples, protecting and harmonizing with Minghui.org according to Master's requirements is not just the responsibility of the Minghui editors, it is also what every practitioner should do in their cultivation. There are different aspects of supporting, protecting, and harmonizing with Minghui.org, for example:
1. Do Not Spread Fake Lectures that Are Not Published on the Minghui Website
Master said to the Minghui editors on November 30, 2000,
“If I do something publicly or publish scriptures, they're sure to be published on the ClearWisdom (Minghui) website. 'Scriptures' that aren't published on the ClearWisdom website are definitely fake. All those who are circulating those types of 'scriptures' should look into where the fake scriptures originated from and expose the evil.” (“Eliminate Evil”)
As Dafa disciples, we should strictly follow Master's requirements to only read and spread Master's new lectures published on Minghui.org. All other lectures that are not published on Minghui.org are fake. As soon as one finds out the lecture is fake, one should seriously warn the practitioners spreading it, destroy the fake lecture immediately, and stop spreading it. In the meantime, one should find out the source of the fake lecture and expose it to the Minghui.org editors. We should all start with ourselves and not give fake lectures any means to spread.
2. On Important Matters, Practitioners Must Pay Close Attention to the Attitude of Minghui.org
Except for websites that Master confirms and Minghui editors recommend, other websites that practitioners have built should use materials only from Minghui.org. This is the only way to ensure that other websites do not deviate from the Fa's requirements, so they can function well in clarifying the truth and saving sentient beings to establish their mighty virtue. Regarding those evil websites, we should not listen to, read, believe in, or spread them. We should all do our best to protect Minghui's reputation.
3. Expose the Persecution and Share Our Cultivation Experiences on Minghui.org
Master said,
“From the day it was set up it was firmly established as a vehicle for Dafa disciples’ cultivation and their sharing of experiences, and meant to report on the persecution of Dafa disciples in a timely manner.” (“Fa Teaching Given at the Fa Conference Marking the Tenth Anniversary of the Minghui Website's Founding”)
We should accurately expose our local persecution situation to Minghui.org in a timely manner. We should share with other practitioners on Minghui about our cultivation experiences and lessons learned, and we should actively participate in things that the Minghui website recommends to practitioners. If we find any issues on Minghui.org, we should provide feedback and suggestions in a timely manner.
4. Working to Establish Materials Production Sites and Viewing Minghui.org Correctly
We should try our best to help practitioners establish more materials production sites with one-on-one connections with Minghui.org. We can, in this way, ensure that practitioners can access Minghui.org articles independently. For those areas where this approach cannot work, temporarily at present, we should try our best to deliver the important information from Minghui to those practitioners to avoid their being taken advantage of by the evil due to their lack of access to Minghui.
Supporting, protecting, and harmonizing with Minghui.org involves different aspects. As Dafa disciples, in order to do this well, we need to study the Fa more. We will do well as long as we follow the Fa's requirements.
“At the same time, you mustn’t slack off in your personal cultivation, for Minghui will do better and be more remarkable only if you can manage to do better as individuals and in cultivation.” (“Fa Teaching Given at the Fa Conference Marking the Tenth Anniversary of the Minghui Website's Founding”)
Conclusion
As true Dafa disciples, we should follow Master's directions without any conditions and look at the Minghui website with righteous thoughts. We should maintain the website well along with the practitioners working directly for Minghui.org. This is to harmonize with the Minghui website, and this is also assisting Master in Fa-rectification. However, driven by human notions, anything that is against the Minghui.org website will have negative effects and will make the evil forces happy; this is what Dafa disciples should eliminate.
