Mr. You Haijun and Mr. Ding Fadong from Ningxia Arrested

(Minghui.org) Officers from the Zhongwei City and the Zhongning County Police Departments arrested Mr. You Haijun and Mr. Ding Fadong at Mr. You's home on September 15, 2013. They then ransacked Mr. Ding Fadong's home in Yinchuan City. Both practitioners are being held at the Zhongning County Detention Center.

Mr. You Haijun, 43, is a truck driver. Mr. Ding Fadong, 51, was previously a secondary school teacher in the Yinnan area.

Mr. Ding started practicing Falun Gong at the end of 1998. After practicing for a while, the illnesses that he had suffered from for over two decades disappeared. The principles of Falun Dafa helped him understand the true meaning of life.

Unfortunately, he was arrested and sentenced four times to a forced labor camp because he persisted in clarifying the truth to people after the persecution started, and continued to believe in Falun Gong. While he was detained, the guards ordered inmates to brutally torture him in an attempt to force him to give up his belief.

Mr. Ding was put in solitary confinement and forced to sit on a tiger bench torture device for three days and nights while at the Yinchuan Detention Center. The room where he was imprisoned was very small and freezing cold, and four inmates were assigned to constantly monitor him. He endured many types of torture, including being tied up with a rope and being handcuffed to a metal frame, which resulted in his hands blistering. His feet were shackled to a tiger bench and he lost all feeling in his legs.

A “transformation” session was set up at the Ningxia Forced Labor Camp. About a dozen people were employed to conduct the session. The purpose was to force Falun Gong practitioners to give up their beliefs. Mr. Ding was severely tortured because he refused to renounce his belief. His family went to see him during his first sentence in the labor camp, and found that he had lost a lot of weight and had become emaciated. He was bent over and hobbled slowly. His family cried when they saw his condition, and his younger sister even fainted.

The guards lied to his family and told them that Mr. Ding was like that because he had fallen in an accident. They assured them that he had seen a doctor, and that it was not serious.

In 2002, Mr. Ding was sentenced to three years in a forced labor camp. When he was released in 2005, his weight had dropped from 132 lb. to 77 lb.

Mr. Ding was sentenced to two years of forced labor in 2011, for the fourth time. He was released in early 2013.
