(Minghui.org) Beijing Falun Gong practitioner Mr. Yang Yue and his wife, Ms. Duan Hongxia, were arrested on their way to work on July 18, 2013. They have been held for more than four months.
The police also broke into their home and confiscated a desktop computer, two laptops, three Ipads, and other personal items.
Their family have just recently learned that they are being held at the Beijing Detention Center.
Mr. Yang's mother tried to visit them at the detention center, but the guard refused to let her. She told the guard that Mr. Yang and his wife are good people and shouldn't be detained. The guard said that they were arrested for practicing Falun Gong.
Mr. Yang and his wife are well regarded at work and at home. Their arrests have have made things difficult for their family members, who are very distressed.
Ms. Duan used to work at the Founder Group of Beijing University. She has been arrested many times for her belief and was sentenced to one-and-a-half years of forced labor in 2002.
