(Minghui.org) Mr. Ren Guangdong and Ms. Ren Guanghui, a brother and sister from Huanan County, Heilongjiang Province, benefited both physically and mentally after they began cultivating in Falun Dafa. On January 11, 2013, they were reported by Officer Ding Siyu and were illegally arrested by five officers from the Shuguang Police Department when they were distributing calendars with information about Dafa. They are currently being detained in the Huanan Forestry Detention Center.
The police caused a cut on Mr. Ren Guandong’s neck when they arrested him. Two deep wounds were still vividly seen two days later. The brother and sister were detained by officers from the Shuguang Police Department for 15 days, and 1,000 yuan was extorted from them.
Mr. Ren Guangdong previously suffered from overexertion, and was cured after he began practicing Falun Dafa in 2008. His 33-year-old sister Ren Guanghui began to cultivate in 2009, and her various illnesses also disappeared. She previously had hemorrhoids, sinus infections, and ulcers. The sinus problem was especially severe in winter. It caused her headaches and difficulty breathing. She was weak, caught colds often, and frequently took medication. After practicing Falun Dafa, her health improved, and she no longer needs any medication.
To her family's surprise, Ms. Ren Guanghui, who used to be a short-tempered person, became calm and kind to others. According to her husband, before she began Falun Dafa cultivation practice, she had a bad temper, and often played mah-jong and drank a lot. She did not cook at home, and often had conflicts with her mother-in-law and her husband. After cultivating, she became very nice, often bought gifts for her parents-in-law, and respected them. The relationship between her and her husband became harmonious. According to her husband, “Before cultivation she was the empress and I was the servant. After cultivation I am the emperor and she became the servant.”
Countless Falun Gong practitioners have demonstrated that Falun Dafa is a righteous way, and is a wonderful cultivation method. It allowed for large numbers of people to elevate their moral standards and improve their health. It helped families become harmonious, gave new lives to numerous terminally ill patients, and helped many corrupt officials to become decent and reliable workers. But the Jiang regime and the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) disregarded the facts and the nation's laws, launched a brutal campaign against Falun Gong and arbitrarily persecuted good people. They relied on “falsehoods, evilness, and struggle” to persecute Falun Gong’s principle of Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance, and brought the whole society toward the verge of moral collapse.
Deputy Chief Shang Xiping of the Sandaogou Police Station at the Huanan Forestry Bureau, became a good person who adhered to Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance after he began cultivating in Falun Gong. He eliminated his hoodlum behavior, and his family life became harmonious. Both his wife and children felt that he became a new person. After the CCP began persecuting Falun Gong on July 20, 1999, Mr. Shang was persecuted severely. He was prevented from working, and fined almost 10,000 yuan. He was detained many times and put in a forced labor camp. On September 30, 2004, he was arrested by officers Song Dianling and Ren Yongjie from the Domestic Security Division, and officer Guo Jianxiu from the Xinlin Police Station, and was illegally sentenced to four years in prison. Mr. Shang was released on May 14, 2005, and arrested again in September 2005. He was sentenced to ten years in prison, which he is still serving.
