(Minghui.org) Today's news from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 6 cities or counties in 9 provinces. According to this report, 4 practitioners were subjected to mistreatment during detention, and at least 33 practitioners were illegally arrested.

1. [Yilan County, Heilongjiang Province] Twenty-eight Falun Gong Practitioners Arrested

Twenty-eight Falun Gong practitioners have been arrested since March 29, 2013. They include: Mr. Mo Zhikui; Ms. Fei Shuqin; Mr. Zuo Zhenqi; Ms. Chen Yan; Mr. Sun Wenfu; Mr. Zhang Jinku; Mr. Liu Fengcheng; Mr. Xu Feng, Ms. Ni Chunyan, Ms. Zhang Jingjuan, Ms. Du Jing, Ms. Wu Yingqiu, Ms. Yao Yulian, Mr. Tang Lifei; Mr. Li Dapeng; Ms. Li Yanyan; Mr. Shi Rongxian; Ms. Zhang Jiuhui; Ms. Duan Shuyan; Mr. Xing Laojiu; Ms. Qiu Yuqin; Mr. Zheng Chen; Mr. Wang Jiarong; Ms. Jiang Lianying; Ms. Hou Guixiang; Mr. Wang Haifeng and his mother and aunt.

Mr. Shi Rongxian, Ms. Zhang Jiuhui, Mr. Xing Laojiu, Ms. Hou Guixiang, Mr. Wang Haifeng and his mother and aunt have been released. Ms. Fei Shuqin, Mr. Li Dapeng, Ms. Li Yanyan and another practitioner are being detained in the Yilan Detention Center. Ms. Fei Shuqin has twice been sent to Yilan Hospital for emergency treatment. The rest of the 18 practitioners have been transferred to Harbin Detention Center.

3. [Jinhua, Zhejiang Province] Ms. Cheng Feng Arrested

Police officer Fang from the Domestic Security Division of the Jinhua Police Department phoned Ms. Cheng Feng on March 22, 2013 and deceived her into coming to the police station to retrieve a 25,000-yuan deposit. Ms. Cheng was arrested when she got to the police station. She is being detained in the Zhejiang Women's Prison.

Mr. Li Jianmin from Heping District was arrested by officers from the Xinxinglu Police Station. He is being detained in the Heping Police Department.

5. [Xuzhou, Jiangsu Province] Additional Information about the Detention of Mr. Meng Qingquan

Mr. Meng Qingquan from Jiawang District was arrested by railroad police when he took a train back to Xuzhou on March 27, 2013. He was detained in the Detention Center of the Xuzhou Railroad Bureau. Mr. Meng was transferred to the Xiaqiao Police Station in Jiawang District on April 3, 2013. The police interrogated him for several days and nights. They abused, beat him and subjected him to sleep deprivation.

6. [Boxing County, Shandong Province] Ms. Gu Haixia Arrested

Ms. Gu Haixia from Yangjiawan Village, Pangjia Town, Boxing County, was taken away from her home by local police on April 7, 2013.

7. [Panjin, Liaoning Province] Mr. Gong Guixin Sentenced

Mr. Gong Guixin was taken away from the restaurant he owns by the Panjin police on April 15, 2012. He has been detained for over a year. The Panjin Court recently sentenced him to three years in prison.

8. [Kunshan, Jiangsu Province] Mr. Gao Yongfu Arrested

Mr. Gao Yongfu from Xishishuitou Village, Jiangtong Town, Laiyang, Shandong Province was arrested when he went to Kunshan, Jiangsu Province to visit his son at the end of March 2013. The police ransacked his home in Laiyang on the morning of April 8, 2013.

9. [Guangan, Sichuan Province] Ms. Zhang Yan Arrested

Ms. Zhang Yan was arrested by plainclothes police while she was distributing Falun Gong informational materials on April 1, 2013. She is being detained in the Wusheng Brainwashing Center.

10. [Shenyang, Liaoning Province] Mr. Liu Defu Sentenced to Three Years in Prison

Mr. Liu Defu was arrested at Xiaobei Cell Phone Market by officers from the Dadong Domestic Security Division on December 9, 2012. He was sent to the Dadong Detention Center. The Dadong District Court Sentenced Mr. Liu to three years in prison on March 29, 2013.
