I once exchanged 3,000 yuan in paper currency for the same amount in truth-clarification bills with a fellow practitioner. When I returned home and spread the bills out on my bed, I noticed an unfinished sentence on a bill on the top of a pile of one-yuan bills, but I didn't know what it meant.
Poorly-printed Bills
Alerted that there might be other problems, I checked all the paper currency and pulled out the bills that were unclear, a total of 30 bills. Some had only part of a sentence visible, and some had missing words. Some characters were printed in an improper place, making them difficult for people to see. Some words were not aligned with the paper, and others were not printed clearly, which could have given people the impression that the message was not meant to be taken seriously.
I remembered that the practitioner I had traded with still had some bills left and realized I should tell him to check his too, to find out if he had the same problem. We want the bills to save sentient beings and clarify the facts. Incomplete, incorrect, or hard-to-read messages might have the opposite effect. The coordinator for this project also needed to inform the practitioner who printed the messages on the bills, and ensure that such problems are avoided in the future. I tried to call him but could not reach him. Nor was I able to reach him the next day. I finally saw him that evening and I showed him the faulty bills.
Nothing We Encounter is Accidental
Nothing practitioners encounter is accidental. Therefore, Master arranged that I see those faulty bills. If I hadn't, I would not have checked all of them. In fact, I had never before bothered to check the truth clarification bills that I got from fellow practitioners. Since I knew they made them with a pure heart, I always thought nothing could go wrong. Because I saw this problem, I thought there must be a problem within me and that I must have an attachment that I needed to let go of. I talked to the coordinator and felt uneasy afterward. When I returned home, I was still asking myself what I had done wrong.
Standing in front of Master's picture, I finally realized my problem. I was too attached to having my own way and was eager that others use my ideas, which made our sharing difficult. I was validating myself instead of the Fa. I was complaining and blaming the coordinator, and we were not in harmony. I knew that Master had pointed out my attachments, and that it was time for me to let them go and upgrade my xinxing. I am writing this article to expose my attachments and thus eliminate them. It is also a reminder for fellow practitioners not to make the same mistakes.
Paying Attention to the Details in this Effort
Writing or printing information on paper currency is one way to save sentient beings. Practitioners who make these bills should do it with all their heart. They should not use torn or dirty bills. The printing should be correct, clean, and neat with the proper use of color.
I received some feedback that many ordinary people love to use truth-clarification bills. They mentioned that Dafa practitioners have done a superb job and are very capable. Some people even thought that this money was a new design produced by the bank. When we print on these bills and don't do it wholeheartedly, how will everyday people feel about them? These bills are used more than any other type of truth-clarification materials.
What to Do with Poorly Printed Bills
A fellow practitioner told me that some practitioners didn't know what to do with the bills that had faulty printing on them. The techniques involved should not be the problem, since explicit directions are given on the Minghui website. The key point is our attitude. When we want to validate the Fa, Master will give us hints.
When I started to produce these bills, I didn't know what to do with the badly printed ones. Although I did not want to destroy them, I could not use them, because they could have brought about bad results. Master gave me a hint, and I exchanged this money at a bank. I covered the words with black ink so that no one was able to read them. I told the teller that this money was dirty and they didn't even look at it, and exchanged them for new bills.
I would like to remind every fellow practitioner that should you receive such poorly printed bills, simply exchange them. It does not serve any purpose to just complain and blame others.
My son once brought home a bill with printing on it. There was a single sentence with Dafa information. Then someone had written a sentence defaming Dafa on the same bill. I thought about using disinfectant to erase all the words. All the words would disappear and it would be an ordinary bill again and everyone could use it. Could the words not be erased, then the bill would have to be destroyed. Those were my two options. I used disinfectant, but did not check it until two or three days later. I was surprised when I noticed that the bad words had disappeared, but the good ones remained, and the bill looked just like new. Master showed me how powerful and magic Dafa really is.
Protect the Trust That People Have In Us
I would also like to remind fellow practitioners that when exchanging money with everyday people, we should make sure that we return the correct amount. One day a lady was complaining to me that a practitioner had traded some money with her, and, since she trusts Dafa practitioners, she didn't count the bills. Upon returning home, she noticed that she was short 25 yuan. She told me that in the future, she would only trade money with me and not other practitioners. I explained to her that it was probably an honest mistake, because a practitioner wouldn't do that on purpose, since Master has told us about the principle of “No loss, no gain.” I suggested to her that the next time she should count the money right away and not be embarrassed to tell the practitioner if there was a mistake.
Back home, I asked myself why I had encountered this problem. I noticed that I was not very careful when I traded money, and I asked myself how I could do better. I felt that I should compensate her for her loss, so I went back to the market and gave her 25 yuan. I said to her, “Ma'am, when I got home, I didn't feel right about the mistake my fellow practitioner made. Let me pay you back since we practitioners are one body.” She was surprised, did not understand, and was a little embarrassed to accept it. She wanted to give it back to me, but I insisted that she keep it. She didn't blame the other practitioner again and said that it was wonderful to practice Dafa. She really enjoys using the bills to spread the truth and often trades regular bills with practitioners for ones with Dafa messages printed on them. Other vendors also started to use the bills with messages about Dafa on them. Her business also improved quite a bit.
Nothing that happens on our cultivation paths is trivial. Let's use these precious bills to spread the truth and save sentient beings. Let us remind each other and be more diligent. Please point out anything inappropriate.
