(Minghui.org) The home of practitioner Mr. Guo Ning of Shenyang City, Liaoning Province was turned upside down when he was arrested on March 22, 2013. Mr. Guo was a teacher at the Shenyang City School for the Blind. His elderly parents witnessed their son being dragged into a police car wearing only a tank top in the chilly winter, to be held at the police station for a day and night. They also saw a picture of him tortured to a state of being unrecognizable. They could not stop weeping. His wife, being blind, needs help with things at home such as buying food, paying bills and such that need Mr. Guo’s attention.

Officers from the Dadong District Police Station and the Domestic Security Team of the Shenyang City Police Department arrested over 20 practitioners from Shenyang and Harbin cities at Xiafangyuan in the Dadong District, and the Shenyang Railway Station on March 21, 2013. They took them to the Shenyang Detention Center, and practitioners from Harbin City were taken back to their city later. Mr. Guo and another elderly female practitioner, Ms. Guo Lijun, are still being detained.

It has been reported that the Liaoning Province Police Bureau summoned police from the Domestic Security Team, branch department, and the police stations to form a special team called “F0321” to persecute arrested practitioners. They set up an office on the third floor of the Shenyang City Detention Center. The person in charge was Captain Wang, the Deputy chief of the Dadongmen Police Station. Liu Xizhong and Shen Huaiyu were also members of this special team. The names of the rest of the special team are not known. Families from out of town as well as local families were all stopped outside the gate and not allowed to see anyone when they came to look for the practitioners. The director of the detention center said he was only responsible for “keeping” the practitioners, and was not responsible for arresting or releasing them. In the meantime, the special team members who were supposed to be responsible never showed up.

Mr. Guo’s elderly parents and his blind wife had to run around for two weeks to the Dadongmen Police Station, Shenyang City Detention Center, Domestic Security Team, and the Provincial Police Bureau. They waited anxiously at the doors but no one responded to them. The family called all four lines of the Domestic Security Team, but no one answered. Finally they met Captain Wang in the detention center, who told them that Mr. Guo would be released once the investigation was over. When the family went to see him again, he told them that the investigative personnel had not come. When they went to see him the last time, he told them that Mr. Guo’s case had been turned over to the Provincial Police Bureau. Each department just gave them the runaround.

In April of this year, Shenyang was especially cold. His elderly parents stood quietly in the cold wind and waited, because they knew their son was innocent.
