(Minghui.org) The Nancha District Social Security Administration in Yichun City, Heilongjiang Province suspended Ms. Wang Yuhua’s pension for nearly three years, citing “did not give up Falun Gong” as reason. Ms. Wang Yuhua, 59, sued the agency and won. The agency appealed but lost the case again.

Ms. Wang, a resident of Nancha District, was employed at a lumberyard. In August 1999, she was sent to Jiamusi Labor Camp because she practices Falun Gong. She was released after serving one year, but in 2002, she was sentenced to seven years in prison and sent to the Harbin Women’s Prison. In July 2010, Ms. Wang returned home after serving her sentence. She began to receive her pension, but the pension was suspended after the first month by the Nancha Social Security Administration.

When Ms. Wang asked the agency for the reason for withholding her pension, she was told that the Labor Department made the decision. Unwilling to take any responsibility, the two agencies pushed the issue back and forth. They also demanded that Ms. Wang write a statement affirming that she would stop practicing Falun Gong.

Ms. Wang Yuhua has endured years of forced labor and prison for upholding her constitutional right to belief. Over the past three years, she has visited the Social Security Administration and the Labor Department repeatedly in an attempt to have her pension reinstated, but to no avail.

Finally, Ms. Wang sued the Social Security Administration in the Nancha District Court. On April 1, 2013, the Nancha Court’s Civil Division scheduled a hearing. However, no one from the Social Security Administration showed up, nor did they send a lawyer. In the end Ms. Wang won the case.

The Nancha Social Security Administration appealed the case in the Yichun City Intermediate Court. During the hearing on June 6, 2013, the original verdict was upheld and Ms. Wang won again.

Thirteen Years of Severe Persecution

She was subjected to brainwashing to force her to “transform,” or renounce Falun Dafa. She has been shackled, beaten, starved, stripped of winter clothing in extremely cold temperatures, forced to run, and shocked with electric batons. Other tortures have included long-term sleep deprivation and restricted toilet use.
