(Minghui.org) The book Nine Commentaries on the Communist Party explains how the communist party governs the country with violence and lies. During the persecution of Falun Gong, all the tricks used by the Party have been uncovered. The Chinese Communist Party (CCP) has trained the guards in forced labor camps, prisons, and brainwashing centers to persecute Falun Dafa practitioners. “Deceptive Tactics” is a mandatory course in their training. Here are three of their ploys.

1. Pretending to Be Friends

a. In order to "transform" Dafa practitioners, some guards will bring medicine, tea, watermelon, or toiletries to practitioners. Others will celebrate practitioners' birthdays, and still others try to be close friends with practitioners. However, that is all an act. Please don’t believe them. If you give in to their advances, they will control you.

b. In order to extract personal information and discern practitioners' inner thoughts so that they can target them for persecution, the guards will pretend to be “fellow practitioners from the past,” “interested in the Tao,” or “interested in cultivation.” They will talk to you about religion and books from other schools of cultivation. Some of the guards say, “I used to practice Falun Gong before you did.” Some say, “Can you teach me? I want to learn.” Others say, “I believe in Buddhism as well, so aren't we fellow cultivators?”

c. In order to break down practitioners’ confidence and righteous thoughts, the guards will pretend to be respectable, successful, happy, responsible, and strong people. Some of them propagate the false reasoning of the CCP and act as if they know everything, saying things like, “Recognize the facts of the situation.” Some self-proclaimed psychologists do “tests” on practitioners and conclude that practitioners have mental problems. Some of them made up their own resumes, brag about themselves, and give practitioners suggestions. Some pretend to be secretive and tell practitioners about the newest situation; some put down or insult practitioners—if you grew up in the countryside, they will say, “People who come from the countryside do not see much and are easily cheated.” If you grew up in a city, they will say, “People who live in the city have it good, like flowers in a greenhouse.” If you are highly educated, they will say, “You're a nerd and you read too many books.” If you are not educated, they will say, “Illiterate people are superstitious.”

d. To take advantage of the kindness and mercy of practitioners, the guards sometimes pretend to be humble. Some of them say, “Please be 'transformed,' or I can’t complete my duty. Will you be happy to see me in pain?” Some say, “Don’t you cultivate compassion? How can you see me be criticized and lose my bonus?” Some say, “I don’t need you to be 'transformed.' You can just write something for me so I can finish my task. It’s good for both of us. You can practice after you are out.”

2. Play Acting

In jails, forced labor camps, or detention centers, large numbers of inmates are used to monitor practitioners’ behavior and report to the guards. These people are called “spies” or “intelligence agents.” They can earn material rewards or penalty reductions if they cooperate with the authorities.

The guards sit in their offices and gather all kinds of information on practitioners. Once they get the chance, the guards will go up on the front stage, and the acting begins: If the spies have told them that practitioners miss their homes, the guards will act out a show about “family.” If the spies have told them that practitioners show “fear,” the guards will put on a horror show. If the spies tell them that practitioners are “desperate,” the guards will act a show of “comfort.” In other words, the guards will seize the practitioners' attachments and play on them.

It seems like the guards can “read people's minds,” but that is not really the case. They get all their information from their low-life spies.

3. Playing the Fool

The CCP has no conscience, nor do most of the guards. They are very unpredictable, and their behavior can change at any time. They put on different faces in front of supervisors, subordinates, criminals, relatives of criminals, etc.

Some of them have claimed, “Your life is in my hands. I can kill you without anyone knowing!” Some have threatened, “I won’t be afraid even if you report me to the United Nations!” Others shout, “The Communist Party supports me!” Still others have said, “What law? I am the law!”

If we study the Fa carefully and strengthen our righteous thoughts, we won’t be fooled by the guards' deceptive tactics.
