(Minghui.org) The Yuzhou Court of Henan has secretly sentenced Falun Gong practitioner Mr. Zhang Guoying without informing his family.
Falun Gong practitioners Mr. Zhang Guoying, Ms. Guo Xiaohong, and Ms. Zhu Gaihong from Yuzhou City, Henan Province were arrested by Yuzhou Domestic Security Bureau agents Xia Yuxiao and Geng Songtao on June 28, 2012, and held in a detention center for over a year. Their families were not allowed to visit them during that time.
Around June 26, 2013, through unofficial channels, the families were told that the Yuzhou Court had tried the practitioners secretly, and Mr. Zhang was sentenced to three years in prison. Mr. Zhang's family was shocked and furious when they learned about it and asked why the court didn't tell them. They were told that Mr. Zhang was about to be sent to the prison but they have never received any formal notification of the judgment.
When Mr. Zhang's family went to the detention center to confirm where he was, the guards told them Mr. Zhang was still there. At present, his family is extremely anxious, as they have no way to know exactly what his sentence is or when he will be sent to prison. They don't know who to ask or who can answer their questions.
Mr. Zhang was arrested for helping Ms. Guo Xiaohong install a NTD satellite antenna to watch NTDTV. He has been held in Yuzhou Detention Center ever since. Ms. Guo Xiaohong, Ms. Zhu Gaihong, and Ms. Li Chunhua are in Gaoqiaoying Detention Center in Xuchang City. Ms. Li Chunhua was arrested during the Chinese New Year for distributing Shen Yun DVDs.
