(Minghui.org) Ms. Chen Mei, Ms. Ye Cuifen, Ms. Li Yonghua, and Ms. Lu Aizhen, all in their 60s, are residents of Tianheyuan Village, Guangzhou City, Guangdong Province. Ms. Chen Mei and Ms. Ye Cuifen are retired from the Guangdong Province Yuehua Power Corporation.

These four practitioners were arrested at their homes around 9:00 a.m. on September 25, 2012, for telling others about the benefits of practicing Falun Gong, and their homes were ransacked. Many of their personal belongings were confiscated, including computers, printers, cell phones, and Falun Gong books. They were sent to the Tangang Brainwashing Center in Guangzhou for three months. Ms. Li Yonghua's daughter, who is not a practitioner, was also arrested and detained in the village police station for two days.

During their detention, the four practitioners were pressured to write the three statements. As a result of the mistreatment they suffered at the brainwashing center, they all exhibited symptoms of illness. Their families were very worried about them.

The four practitioners recently received notices from the Tianhe District Court in Guangzhou that they would be tried on June 17, 2013. Another practitioner, Zhao (given name unknown), will be tried the same day.
