(Minghui.org) Police from Zhujiang Road Station in Deyang City, Sichuan Province tried to deceive Falun Gong practitioner Mr. Wu Zenghui into going to the police station with plans to arrest him. When this failed, they went to his house with handguns. The following are the details of the story.

At 10 a.m. on July 2, 2013, officers from Zhujiang Road Police Station arrived at Mr. Wu Zenghui’s rental apartment, claiming to be there to verify his temporary residential permit. The address is Number 4, Third Floor, 17 th Building in No. 2 Heavy Machinery Company’s District 108.

As the three uniformed and one plainclothes officer approached the door, one of the officers said, “You did not obtain a resident permit, therefore, you must pay a fine of 20 yuan. You must come with us to the police station to complete the paper work.”

Mr. Wu's 94-year-old grandfather was resting downstairs, and his mother was not feeling well. Mr. Wu told the police that he could not go with them because he needed to help his grandfather. He suggested that he could pay the fine and complete the paperwork right there. The police rejected this and confiscated both his and his mother's IDs. They also took Mr. Wu’s cell phone number and demanded that he come to the police station in the afternoon. The police promised, “You just need to pay 20 yuan and complete a form, then you can go home with your ID’s.”

In the afternoon, Mr. Wu did not go to the police station because he was busy helping an uncle rent an apartment. At 2 p.m., the police called and urged him to go. Mr. Wu told the police that he planned to go the next morning.

When Mr. Wu returned home at 5 p.m., the Zhujiang Road police also arrived within 10 minutes. They knocked on the door and said, “The people downstairs went to the police station to complain that your apartment leaked water. We need to take a look.” Before the police entered, Mr. Wu secretly escaped.

A witness at the scene saw police everywhere, from the 1 st floor to the 3 rd floor. One officer who searched the apartment carried a handgun.

Police confiscated a number of Mr. Wu’s personal belongings: two copies of Zhuan Falun, three volumes of hand-copied lectures by Master Li, an MP3 player, three telephones, and a laser printer. Later the police returned the ID to Mr. Wu’s mother, but they have yet to return Mr. Wu's personal property and ID.
