Additional Persecution News from China – July 30, 2013 (8 Reports)

(Minghui.org) Today's news from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 8 cities or counties in 7 provinces. According to this report, 3 practitioners were subjected to mistreatment during detention, and at least 7 practitioners were illegally arrested.

1. [Zibo, Shandong Province] Mr. Mo Chaojian Not Heard from for Five Years

1. [Zibo, Shandong Province] Mr. Mo Chaojian Not Heard from for Five Years

Mr. Mo Chaojian, 32, was a former doctor of Chinese Medicine of Zibo No. 3 Hospital. Officers from the Zhangdian District 610 Office arrested him on the night of January 27, 2008. He was given a heavy sentence of ten years in prison. However, he has not been heard from for the past five years.

2. [Taicang, Jiangsu Province] Mr. Zhang Yongming Arrested

Mr. Zhang Yongming was arrested at the Taicang Long-Distance Bus Station by officers from the Taicang 610 Office at noon on July 25, 2013. He was sent to the Qingcaohu Brainwashing Center in Liujiagang, Taicang.

3. [Baoji, Shaanxi Province] Mr. Luo Yanting Arrested

Mr. Luo Yanting worked at the Baoji Post and Telecommunications Bureau. He was arrested by officers from the Baoji 610 Office on July 23, 2013. His whereabouts are unknown.

4. [Xuyong County, Sichuan Province] Mr. Wang Jiansheng Arrested

Mr. Wang Jiansheng was arrested by officers from Xingwen and Xuyong counties on July 16, 2013. His home was also searched. He is being detained in the Xingwen Detention center.

5. [Chongqing] Ms. Miao Shixiu Transferred to Zouma Women's Prison

Ms. Miao Shixiu from Beipei, Chongqing was transferred to Zouma Women's Prison in Chongqing on June 14, 2013 after being detained in the Beipei Detention Center for six months.

6. [Yuyao, Zhejiang Province] Ms. Luo Yuying Arrested

Ms. Luo Yuying was taken from her home by domestic security officers from the Yuyao Police Department on the morning of July 29, 2013. Her home was also searched.

Mr. Wu Hongwei was taken from his office by agents from the Heyuan 610 Office and the Domestic Security Division on the morning of July 29, 2013. He was taken to a brainwashing center located in the Baiyun District Men's Prison.

8. [Shuangcheng, Heilongjiang Province] Ms. Li Miling, Ms. Gao Mingzhi, and Ms. Li Fenghua Arrested

On the night of June 24, 2013, Ms. Li Miling, Ms. Gao Mingzhi, and Ms. Li Fenghua from Xingye Village, Yongsheng Township, Shuangcheng, were taken away by officers from the Yongsheng Police Station. The women had gone to Shengqiang Village to distribute Falun Gong materials. They were released the next afternoon after each family was "fined" 3000 yuan ($489.00).
