(Minghui.org) Mr. Xin Tingchao from Laishui County, Hebei Province, went to Beijing to work when he was not working on his farm and gave an elderly lady a Shen Yun Performing Arts DVD. She reported the incident to officers from the Yayuncun Police Station, who arrested Mr. Xin on June 14, 2013.
The police first took him to the Chaoyang District Detention Center for 37 days and then to the Beijing No. 1. Detention Center. His family was not allowed to visit him. Mr. Xin had previously been put in a forced labor camp for three years and was not released until 2008. His family has been trying to get him released.
Mr. Xin was born in Dongnanzu Village in Laishui County. He became healthy and his family life was rewarding after he began to practice Falun Dafa. He grew calm and peaceful and earned lots of praise from neighbors and friends. People liked him and often sought his help as they felt that Falun Gong practitioners were all reliable.
These happy times came to an end on July 20, 1999, when the Jiang regime began to arrest, fine, and put practitioners in brainwashing centers. Mr. Xin's entire family lived in a constant state of fear, as officers would come into their house any time of the day and ransack it, seize their property, and make arrests. Their friends and relatives were all scared away, and the family could not live a normal life.
Wang Fucai, the director of Laishui County 610 Office; Dai Chunjie, the political and security group leader; and six officers barged into Mr. Xin’s home on April 7, 2005. Without presenting any legal document, they ransacked it and beat Mr. Xin. His daughter cried and begged them to stop choking her father. An officer said, “We just want to do it” and pushed the girl down. Mr. Xin was shoved into a police car.
Mr. Xin was sentenced to three years of forced labor and held in Baoding Forced Labor Camp. His daughter was forced to quit school during this time, and his father passed away due to the stress of such an ordeal. His mother cried all day, while their farm went to rack and ruin since no one took care of it.
Mr. Xin was released after three years of torment. Some people laughed at him, saying, “Why didn't you just practice Falun Gong at home? Why did you have to go tell people things and post and distribute fliers?” Mr. Xin always calmly and peacefully told them, “Heaven is destroying the Chinese Communist Party. All those who held up their fists and swore in front of the bloody flag to join the Party, the Youth League, or the Young Pioneers will go down with the CCP when it collapses. People will be safe, have a future, and escape the calamity if they know the truth about Falun Gong. How can I not tell them? I am saving them.”
