Additional Persecution News from China – November 25, 2013 (8 Reports)

(Minghui.org) Today's news from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 8 cities or counties in 7 provinces. According to this report, 23 practitioners were subjected to mistreatment during their detention, and at least 7 practitioners were illegally arrested.

1. [Anyang, Henan Province] Three Practitioners Detained

Ms. Li Baozhen and Ms. Wang Yuqin were arrested by officers from the Yindu Police Department on the morning of November 14, 2013. Police ransacked Ms. Wang's home and confiscated her computer and printer.

Ms. Li's sister, Ms. Li Xiuzhen, was also arrested several days later. All three practitioners are being held at the Anyang City Detention Center.

2. [Taian, Shandong Province] Ms. Zhang Yulan Arrested

Ms. Zhang Yulan was arrested while distributing informational materials about Falun Gong at a market on the morning of November 22, 2013. Police ransacked her home and confiscated her Shen Yun Performing Arts CDs and informational materials about Falun Gong. She has now been released.

3. [Chongqing] Mr. Zhang Kaisong Arrested

Mr. Zhang Kaisong (in his 70s) was arrested on November 22, 2013. Police confiscated his printer and recorder.

4. [Chengdu, Sichuan Province] Ms. Li Huayu Detained

Ms. Li Huayu from Qingliu Township, Xindu District, was arrested on November 18, 2013. She is being held at the Damaqiao Detention Center.

5. [Xi'an, Shanxi Province] Ms. Wang Qiuxian's Home Ransacked

Ma Xiaojiang from the Xincheng District Domestic Security Division and Shen Jianping from the Hujiamiao Police Station broke into the 80-year-old Ms. Wang Qiuxian's home on the afternoon of November 15, 2013. They confiscated informational materials about Falun Gong and a copy of Zhuan Falun.

6. [Yiyang, Hunan Province] Ms. Yu Xunming Sent to Brainwashing Center

Ms. Yu Xunming was arrested by Xia Xiangru from the 610 Office and taken to the Xiufeng Park Brainwashing Center in early October.

7. [Guiyang, Guizhou Province] Mr. Wang Zhixue Arrested

Mr. Wang Zhixue (38 years old) was arrested on November 20, 2013. Police ransacked his home and confiscated his computer, printer, copier and television, as well as 30,000 in cash. His current whereabouts are unknown.

8. [Shenyang, Liaoning Province] Teachers and Students from Xiongshi School Detained

Thirty-seven teachers and students from the Xiongshi School were arrested. Principals Mr. Guo Baoshi and Mr. Xu Juntao are detained at the Shenyang Detention Center. Most of the others have been transferred to a brainwashing center.
