The annual Internet Fa conference is here again. My understanding is that during this final Fa rectification period, we need to treasure, even more, the opportunity of sharing with each other. Every Dafa practitioner should treasure the precious moments left to us by Master, and strive forward diligently together to elevate as one body. Below, I will report my cultivation experience for the past year to our great Master and share it with fellow practitioners.
Five months ago, a colleague and I were transferred to the hospital's management division. Most of those at the management level have connections, big titles, and feel they are better than others. Most of them try very hard to move farther up.
They avoid the subject of Falun Gong. In the past, three Dafa practitioners were illegally sentenced because of their beliefs. Some people even look down on Dafa practitioners. One practitioner who worked there previously tried hard, but wasn't able to clarify the truth to many people.
After I reported to the new division, the director put me as far back as possible in an out of the way office. Meanwhile, my colleague was put in a prime spot in a big office.
The director, previous director and this colleague were always socializing together, laughing and enjoying each other's company. They intentionally excluded me. They gave me all the undesirable work. Since I was new to the division, I was not familiar with the work, but no one taught me how to do it. It was a difficult, stressful time.
My competitive mentality, feelings of resentment, feelings of being wronged and jealousy were exposed. I could not calm my heart when studying the Fa, doing the exercises and sending righteous thoughts. Recognizing the serious interference I was facing, I studied the Fa with great effort. I looked within and let go of my attachments.
A thought came to mind one day during my meditation: “Do not allow them to treat you like this!” I suddenly recalled these words from “Beyond the Limits of Forbearance”
“Forbearance (ren) is not cowardice, much less is it resigning oneself to adversity. Dafa disciples' Forbearance is noble; is the manifestation of beings' magnificent, indestructible, and diamond-like solidity; is tolerance for the purpose of upholding the truth; and is mercy toward and salvation of beings who still have human nature and righteous thoughts. Forbearance is absolutely not the limitless giving of free rein, which allows those evil beings who no longer have any human nature or righteous thoughts to do evil without limit.” (“Beyond the Limits of Forbearance” from Essentials for Further Advancement II)
As a Fa rectification Dafa disciple, how can I save others if I am being ignored and bullied?
After understanding the principles from the Fa's perspective, I asked my director for a reasonable working place and told her seriously, “One needs to be fair, it is not allowed to discriminate against cultivators.” A few days later, I was moved to a more spacious, comfortable office. After that I worked on improving my work attitude. If they were not going to teach me, I would learn myself. Soon, I could handle all the work given to me, and did it well.
The other two directors working with me would work until 10 p.m., but were still unable to finish, and would give their incomplete work to me. I had no trouble finishing it in the morning. They were surprised and I could hear them talking about how smart and capable I was. I fully understood that Master did everything and opened up my wisdom.
I no longer allowed myself to feel bullied, and worked effectively in my management position. I always paid close attention to my actions, as well as the way I dressed, to present a good image of a Dafa practitioner.
The quality of my work made a good impression on people in different divisions in the hospital. When upper management came to examine our work, my boss asked me to keep them company. I was natural and poised when talking about the hospital's situation to the specialists, and I would talk to them about Falun Gong and the persecution at the same time.
In August, I participated in a knowledge contest organized by the Health Bureau. Being over forty years old, I faced competitors who were in their 20s and 30s. I was number one in theoretical testing. My demonstration also impressed the judges. My bosses praised me for my good work.
My boss and colleagues were impressed, and I took the opportunity to clarify the truth to them and helped them to withdraw from the CCP. I used every opportunity to connect with colleagues from nearby offices. As I upgraded my xinxing, I was no longer submissive, but instead upright and confident. They told me, “When you speak and work on things, you have a special personal touch and ability.”
The top management have high living standards. They tend to think only about gain and profit. They often fight with each other. Years of this behavior resulted in their being bitter, tired and unhealthy. Few have found any true purpose in life. I have come to understand that they all came for the Fa. Master has arranged for me to be here to save them.
One practitioner tried to talk to the chief information officer about Falun Gong and the persecution, but was unsuccessful. One day I found an opportunity to talk to him about the Tiananmen self-immolation hoax, and many other issues, in hopes that he would choose a bright future for himself by quitting the Party. I could tell that he was listening, but he was afraid of withdrawing from the CCP.
I invited him for dinner, along with my previous division's head nurse and a few doctors. At the dinner table, the head nurse and the doctors raised their glasses for a toast and said, “Falun Dafa is good; Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance is good.” The chief was shocked and said, “You all knew about this!” Everyone laughed and someone said, “We withdrew from the CCP long ago, why haven't you? Don't you know that it is dangerous to stay in it?” He quickly said, “I will withdraw, immediately.” The dinner table was filled with harmony and laughter.
Besides doing well at my job every day, I seized every moment to clarify the truth. So far, I've helped over 20 members of the management team to learn the truth about Falun Gong and quit the Party. With doctors, nurses and cleaning staff coming to my division each day, I needed to find a private setting to talk to them in.
My wish came true very soon. My co-worker in the office had to take some time off to recover from an injury, and so I got the office to myself.
A few days ago, practitioner A was turned in by someone. People from the 610 Office came to the hospital looking for him. They came by a few times but were always blocked by the staff members here in the office building. I immediately asked my fellow practitioners to send forth righteous thoughts.
I called practitioner A and said, “Come back to your office as soon as possible. There are a few people looking for you, I want you to be where it is safe.” I found out that a young man from the office was with him. Neither of them returned for a long time. I called him again and he didn't answer. I called a cleaning lady who understands the truth about Falun Gong. She said, “No problem, I am keeping an eye on the front door. If I notice anyone trying to take him away, I will notify the president of the hospital.”
By 11 a.m., practitioner A still didn't return and I was getting worried. A colleague who understands the truth about Falun Gong called the young man who went with him. After a while the young man came back. I asked him, “The 610 Office didn't take him away, did they?” The young man said with great confidence, “Who dares to do that? I will not let them take away an employee of the hospital like that. He went home already.” It turned out that the young man had been protecting practitioner A all along.
Master said,
“Dafa disciples, you are golden light in the mortal world, the hope of the world's people, Fa-disciples who help Master, and future Fa-Kings. Keep diligent, Awakened Ones that walk the earth: Everything of today will be the glory of the future.” (“Congratulatory Message” from The Essentials of Diligent Progress)
I will not let down the sentient beings who are counting on me. I will carry out my oath and follow Master's footsteps of rectifying the Fa and saving sentient beings.
