(Minghui.org) Falun Gong practitioner Mr. Zhao Echuan was sentenced to 15 years in prison 13 years ago. He has become mentally unstable after being tortured in Duyun Prison in Guizhou Province. His family and friends are very worried about him.
According to Mr. Zhao's family and friends, Mr. Zhao used to be very healthy and full of energy. He now seems to be dull-witted. The guards often use drugs to torture Falun Gong practitioners, and there are instances of drug-induced deaths at Duyun Prison.
Mr. Zhao was born on September 30, 1968, and lived in the Wudang District of Guiyang City. He was arrested for making truth clarification materials on November 17, 2001, and sentenced to 15 years in Duyun Prison.
Little is known of what Mr. Zhao has had to endure in Duyun Prison, because all information is restricted. It was reported on the Minghui website that Mr. Zhao was handcuffed to a bed and not allowed to sleep for six days in March 2004. He was once on a hungry strike to protest the persecution.

Guards in Duyun Prison torture Falun Gong practitioners using very brutal methods, such as the death bed, solitary confinement, sitting on a stool, beatings, forced kneeling, electric shock, burning with hot water, burning with cigarettes, interrogated with a strong light shining in the eyes, exposure to freezing temperatures, prolonged sleep deprivation, denial of restroom use, force-feeding, forced to watch and listen to video recordings slandering Falun Dafa, long hours of hard labor, etc. Falun Gong practitioners Mr. Ma Tianjun, Mr. Hu Dali, Mr. Wu Botong, and possibly more were persecuted to death.
Mr. Zhao has been persecuted in prison for over 13 years. He has two years remaining to finish his term. His family and friends are very worried about his safety. Please help stop Duyun Prison from persecuting Mr. Zhao and other Falun Gong practitioners.
